I also requested they fix the distance to empty to read in miles instead of km.
Can they do that?

Re: Look, Ma, no hands!

Well, yes. When I've needed two hands to do something quick, rather than stopping. Like when I've realised that I'd forgotten to do up the chest and waist straps on my rucksack, for example.

Re: Fuel range displayed

The fuel guage seems to work fine. Computed mpg seems correct as shown on display. Only the distance to empty seems awry...and if it said "km" instead of "mi" after the digits, it would be correct. Consequently, I do the mental math of multiplying the displayed number by 0.6 to get miles to empty. ...

Re: No start?

My 2016 SDGT wouldn't start today. 2800 miles, no problems before. Been colder than normal here, but bike is parked inside garage, where it's never cooler than 50°F. Engine turns over, coughs once, then dies. Attempts to restart have same result: crank, cough, die. Crank, cough, die. No hints on di...

Re: GPS Bracket

The top Torx screw in the first picture is used to adjust the angle of the GPS screen. This has internal rubber vibration damping bushes and is a bit of a fiddle to adjust, but no big deal. ] Confused ? You don't need to adjust any torx !! To adjust the angle just grab the sat nav and slide it slig...

Re: GPS Bracket

There are spare wires inside the instrument console however, which may be suitable to use for the power supply and I'll post something if I ever get around to figuring out which one is which and if we can use them. IIRC from when I did mine, there are two pairs behind the speedo: one switched, one ...

Christmas jumper season

Anybody want a (very large, very unofficial) KTM Christmas jumper? https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/x1sAAOSwHYpaHH2g/s-l400.jpg KTM Xmas Jumper, Hand-knitted, XXXL, Christmas - Two Wheels for Life Designed and knitted by my Mam, but it came out a bit larger than expected, so it's enormous on me, even ...

Re: Still running in.

Put some 98 V-horsepower in it cause I hit a flashing reserve indicator and I thought my Gt ran even smoother......or maybe I was just looking through a rose tinted visor... ..... I nearly filled up with 98 when I was leaving Belgium, a couple of weeks ago, when it was a choice of that or E10...

Re: Took my gt in for 1st service.

Yeah, I think i had that. Sounds something like two gear wheels that aren't fully engaged?

IIRC, it's a faulty idler gear, or something like that. Replaced under warranty, no quibbles, didn't take long.

Re: Rear stand pin

I don't know what brand it is. I bought it off Amazon and there's no manufacturer info. But it works fine so I'd rather not buy another one. I'll buy a pin and see if it fits. Otherwise I may have to buy another. Thanks for the info guys. Got a link for it on Amazon? Someone else might be able to i...

Re: Rear stand pin

Eddie is your stand the KTM one or another brand? This is a great price for USA owners, shipping can't be too much either. http://www.ricambiweiss.com/PADDOCK-STAND/SINGLE-SIDED-REAR-STAND/EST25-EINARM-HEBER-MONTAGESTAeNDER-DUCATI.html That's a Ducati stand. You probably want this: http://www.ricam...

Eddie is your stand the KTM one or another brand? It's from Ricambi Weiss http://www.ricambiweiss.com/index.php?language=en Bought it in 2008 for my wife's Monster S4R, got a replacement pin in 2014 for my Multistrada, then another for the GT last year. Certainly getting value for money from that f...

Re: Rear stand pin

~27.3mm for my GT, I guess the R is the same.

I've got three pins for my rear stand now. I've just bought a new pin from the stand manufacturer each time, but you should be able to order one through stockists.

What make is your stand?

Re: Scottoiler: where to place the nozzle?

Finally did mine yesterday. It's only taken ~11 months, no point rushing these things … I haven't got a picture of mine handy, and I can't be arsed going out to the garage at this time of night. Compared to Scottoiler's picture: My bracket is more bent over Wider plastic bit is further down the brac...

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

The fuel range calculator is a joke. It shows over 400 miles at fill-up and then drops from 70 miles to 30 miles to 0 miles in about 15 miles. Luckily, fuel MPG calculation seems accurate. There's a simple explanation for this, at least: it's always in kilometres, no matter what units you've chosen...

Re: So far

I tried the KTM handguards on mine, but they restricted the movement. I have my handlebar clamps in the most forward position, though; I guess you haven't. I guess my bar risers prevent these issues [WINKING FACE] I didn't see you specifically mention that you'd put them on. If I'd wanted an old ma...

Re: So far

I'm often Spain this week and whilst prepping my bike I thought I would fit some genuine ktm handguards, after some discount they were £46 and come with all hardware and fit perfect with no contact on full lock, only mod is you have to notch the right guard very slightly for the brake line. I tried...

Re: Incontinence?

Update: the dealer couldn't find any sign of stone damage, so they replaced the radiator and submitted a warranty claim, and I got the bike back on Friday. They reckon the paint's too thin on the back of the radiator, we'll have to see what KTM say ... And I fitted the radiator guard yesterday. The ...

Re: Incontinence?

Collection by KTM Assist booked for Saturday morning. The dealers will look at it next week (while I'm out of the country anyway).
