Trouble with the GS is it only has 'rain mode' power as the max ;-)

Re: Potential buyer - seat height question

Hey, Fancy trading up my old VFR750 for a SD GT, but just went and sat on one and found I could barely touch the floor both sides at once - I'm only around 5' 8" tall. Does anyone know of a way of lowering the seat height an inch or so? I can't find any aftermarket seats that don't raise the height...

Re: DYNO RUN and Good Results

You will see a massive difference. While the absolute maximum hp and torque are at the top end, it is every day riding where you notice the biggest changes in fuelling. For the 3000 to 6000 range, at least the relative hp and torque is doubled to more than doubled in parts, and all those annoying bo...

Re: Who's done front sprox mod !

Great thanks. I see they are aluminium. How long will that last with this amount of torque and power? Google sitta they get great reviews and fitted to some big hp bikes they are hard anodised alloy and after 5k my 39 is like new still. My 190 hp kwak had alloy sprox and whilst it would eat a rear ...

Re: DYNO RUN and Good Results

Unfortunately I'm not around next week or I would have popped up to have a cuppa with ya, be interesting to hear your feedback. Just back. Fab. So much smoother and much more tractable. Can now use 6th gear from 60 very smoothly and on standard gearing. Power up an additional 17 bhp and torque up 8...

Re: Who's done front sprox mod !

I went from a 16 front to putting the stock 17 back on than I tried a 39 rear, the rear does make a very slight difference, you can use 6th gear at normal motorway speeds and it still retains the long(ish) gears that I like, I Also have a 40 that I will try next month when I unwrap the bike from it...

Re: Geez, I've had no "teething problems"......

nice to hear no problems, its nice for a change. I am assuming you are not a Sunday 'sunny day' motorcyclist so i am glad you don't have any problems. Sunny Sunday motorcyclist has got nothing to do whether you will experience problems or not. The bike will be good, bad or indifferent whatever the ...

Re: GT exhaust replacement

if R system would have work on GT then it would have been easy. Although the bikes are very similar there are tweaks on GT. I think they couldn't manage to build the GT this year because of time may be? the euro 4 is though and might change a lot of things on GT. i think KTM is not interested in a ...

Re: DYNO RUN and Good Results

@ Mr C. Had an interesting chat with Geoff today. He had another GT in there as we spoke. He spoke of the significant differences associated with different fueling for each cylinder. Glad you posted, cheers. I doff my cap to you, because instead of stating the Not possible dribble you took the time...

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

That's what my dealer had confirmed when it went in for its run in service, however that was nearly 1 year ago and some guy on the AD forum said Ktm can now adjust the front pre-load and had his done ! OK that's promising then as would appreciate 5mm more sag at the front. Am back in on Saturday fo...

Rear sag only is dealer adjustable, by computer. + to - 5mm. Nothing available on front.

Suspension eases with miles.

Re: Any reliable SD-GT's out there?

If anyone expects a brand new bike to be faultless then I would suggest a high level of naivety. If you want a well sorted platform you should always wait at least 12 months from first launch so the beta testers find the problems. Doesn't matter whether it is a bike, a car or a camera. For example M...
