A bit of a review

Great write up fella, my bike was one of the first gen and I do now notice a large gap around the pannier front and was worried about water ingress ! However they have never let water in, but the gap is big is this a warranty issue ? Agree totally on the cruise, infact I'm going to buy the new SDR l...

So far

I tried the KTM handguards on mine, but they restricted the movement. I have my handlebar clamps in the most forward position, though; I guess you haven't. I guess my bar risers prevent these issues [WINKING FACE]
I didn't se...

Who's done front sprox mod !
Some great info in this thread. I went 2 teeth larger on my 990SD and appreciated the difference and I think I'll be going for a 39 or 40 on the SD-GT. I'd be interested to know much do the different sprockets change the length of the wheel base? i don't think ther...
Hmmm, so the choice is  with the 40t and :) with the 39........ decisions, decisions, groan...... but I do like the suggested compromise with 39t....... I don't want to gear down too much....just enough to help 6th on highway cruising......at the moment ...
So I contacted pro-bolt and asked them what's the price for Flange nuts, but Vicky, from their sales team, couldn't find it. She was very sure they don't sell nuts for Flange. Do you by any chance remember a product code? Or do I just ask for nuts of specific ...

Who's done front sprox mod !

So over the weekend I took my 40 off and put on the 39 tooth sprox I had been running previously, for comparison the 40 is a great upgrade however sitting @ 70 the difference is 500 rpm between the 39 and 40, fuel consumption is very noticeable with the 40 and I do like the instant pull in any gear ...

I asked for the specific size, I had removed my nuts and had taken them with me when I went to the nec bike show. I think there M12 if I recall with standard pitch thread, the guy on the PB stand even came over to the Ktm stand to see where the nuts came from. I also replaced all the fairing and pla...

Re: Who's done front sprox mod !

I did 200 miles on the bike the other day and I'm sure 80mph in 6th is 4500rpm, but feck me its drinks fuel now and it's very naughty, We compared the gearing to my mates 1050 adv and speed to rpm is exact the same.

Mine does this, the right mirror is worse than the left however I had a XR and that was 10x worse.

My matey drilled a very small hole in the mirror back and filled it with silicon and that sorted his mirror vibe .

Yep SDR does fit perfect, I brought a brand new Akro slip on that was for a SDR, it was half the price of the GT version .

BST Arrive\Still no SDR

On a 17 SDR gt? BST only had 14-16 years offered, I took a risk with hoping those will fit the 17. How do u like the BSTs Yes there on a new GT and they all share the same wheel fitments. I can't really compare because this is the first bike I've fitted from new and really wish I had done a couple ...

I've got 2000 miles on my bike now and have just fitted the Sita 40 tooth rear sprocket (thanks Mr C for the heads up). As my chain is pretty new it would only just fit with the chain adjustment at its slackest point. It felt much better at 80 mph in 6th gear. Off to Ireland for a week and should d...
