Re: 2017 Front Brake Groan\Howl

The front rotors on my 2016 warped during the first 600, and were replaced under warranty, including a new set of pads.
It manifested the fault with pulsing rather than a noise when pushing it about, though.

Re: So far

The KTM satnav bracket is at the perfect angle to reflect light off of the screen, making it damned hard to read.

It mirrors the angle of the dash, but I need to take it off and increase the angle of the bend on it, to make it more practical.

Re: How to calibrate fuel range after update ?

They've missed out 1 vital step - you also have to put your left foot into a bucket of water and rub your head anti clockwise with your right hand. So is that before, or after you shake it all about? I messed it up once and could barely get between fuel stations for a few days... You live in the an...

Re: What did you do to your ktm today?

OK - not exactly what I did TOO it, more what I did WITH it. 2016 SDR. Just back from a 3 day weekend travelling from SE England to SW England and back, steering clear of all motorways. Covered just over 1000 miles and carried all I needed in the KTM tank bag and tail pack. Bike was impeccable throu...

Re: Abba Sky or Bursig Lift ???

I have an Abba lift as well as the conventional rear axle lifter, and the Abba is my go to item. I find it easier and quicker to use single handed.

Re: KTM powerparts ergo seat?

I have the SE model, and it comes with the Powerparts seat as standard, so I have never tried the original. All I can say is that without exception, it is the most comfortable seat I have ever encountered in 49 years of riding. All day comfortable. I'm 5' 10 as well, and I can flat foot it. Must be ...

I love the look of the front headlight - looks like the pincers from an angry insect.

Want.

Re: What to make of the Teething Problems forum

Perhaps it's an Aussie thing - my experience couldn't be more different.

Every time I take my bike out I realise it is the best bike and best riding experience I've ever had.

Even 7 months after I've bought it, I like to go into the garage just to look at it.

Re: What to make of the Teething Problems forum

Maybe you were just unlucky?

My 1290 SDR-SE is my first KTM out of maybe 20 to 30 bikes, and the only problem I've had was a warped front disc, which was sorted immediately under warranty.

OK, I've only covered about 6000 miles, but they've been trouble free.

1st review of the 2017 SDR

At least the first I know of.

I must say I would like one, but its a bit early to trade in my 2016 SDR-SE

Re: new S/W - no wheelies any more :(

I've no idea what mine is running - I just picked it up from the dealer as was, then 1st service 3 days later. I've not been back since.
