Completely eliminates it. The comp werkes includes two parts mid-pipe which replaces the cat and the exhaust.

Re: Competition Werkes

I dropped a note on their facebook page inquiring to the updated design. I'll report back if they respond. If you are really curious it might be worth calling. I gave them a ring before ordering the previous design of this pipe and they were super helpful answering my questions on the phone. If you ...

Re: Hello from Hawaii

Welcome welcome, I'm originally from north shore Oahu, loved growing up there and it was a great place to learn to ride. Moved away 4 years or so.

Love the sound of mine!! Baffle out!
It's a little shorter, and a heck of a lot louder as it removes the cat.

Re: Comp Werkes Exhaust installed

Competitionwerkes claims that it is not necessary, but that it could benefit from a remap. I've been running it since January with no remapping and it seems fine in that I haven't experienced any symptoms of it running too rich or lean. However, I have yet to run it on a dyno or anything to check if...

Requirements for the Akra map?

Short of installing the full Akra system what would one need to do as a bare minimum to take advantage of the akra map.

I've noticed people typically do a combination of the following:

airbox mod/replace
cat removal,
pcv,
o2 sensor mod,
sas removal.

So which of these things are necessary?

Re: Looking for the louder exaust?

Yeah I called comp werkes and they said it was designed to work without remapping and that it would work with the akra map. If you have any questions I suggest calling or emailing them, they have been pretty responsive in my experience.

Re: Looking for the louder exaust?

I haven't heard the SC in person, I installed the competition werkes last week and without the baffle it sounds amazing but is ungodly loud. I rode it a bit on new years day and there wasn't a single head that the beastly roar did not turn. I pray that it's a little more subdued with the baffle, but...

Re: Got my Competition Werkes Installed!

So I just got back from vacation to find the exhaust waiting for me. I installed it last night. Unfortunately they forgot to send the baffle. Holy crap this thing is ungodly loud without it. They are supposed to be sending the baffle on Monday. Hopefully it gets here soon and tones things down to a ...

Re: Got my Competition Werkes Installed!

Looks great! Never could understand why so many manufactures cover up their single sided swing arms with big ugly exhausts. Can't wait to get back from the holidays so I can order one of those cans. On another note how do you like the hand guards? Help keep your hands any warmer? Which ones are those?

Re: Comp Werkes Exhaust installed

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but how loud is this thing? Did you purchase the insert as well, if so how does that sound? How does it run with the stock map? Looking to pick one up myself.
