Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

Anyone else's headlight shake like crap? Coming home late last night mine was terrible, so much I got off to see it wasn't falling out! Check the front wheel is running true. Mine is an 1190 ADV and my headlight shakes quite a bit and it was down to the wheels. Starting to question the quality cont...

You need to go to the dealer so they can adjust the TPMS settings to a lower value.

Re: 1290 Super Adventure speed wobble

Thanks for the info regards the tyres. I have had a response from KTM and they are waiting for a report from the dealer. The dealer mechanic told me another owner changed the tyres and this made a big difference but KTM do not approve any other adventure bike tyres other than the Conti so I will be...

Re: 1290 Super Adventure speed wobble

I dont know if the wobble is down to the tyres but to say the TA2's are shit is nonsense, ive run them on my 1190 since new, mosty two up ridden hard on road in rain, very hot summers and winter without an issue at all and when its not two up they get pushed even harder  This is on an 'r' ...

Re: Airbox issue

The 2015 parts are tight as a (choose your own dodgy simile here) It's a 2 piece clamp around the filter and then you have to really lean on it to slide it down into the box. I don't see it leaking. The airbox is redesigned vs the '13/'14 airbox. After speaking with a regional KTM tech rep, they ar...

Re: 1290 Super Adventure speed wobble

As I said in my post I took all the luggage off as it had happened with my topbox on and I thought it may have been that. If the head bearings have not been adjusted properly and OEM tyres are not up to the job on a brand new bike then I will really be pissed off!!!! LOL was I supposed to start at ...

Re: Anybody running 20w50 amsoil

Sounds like a total load of bullshit, people just believe anything. Just use Motorex then KTM cant carry on when you make a warranty claim. My local shop can pull up my account and give me a copy of how much Power Synth I have bought since I got my rig. So there can be no warranty arguments....

Re: 1290 Super Adventure speed wobble

Just got back from the IoM TT and could not believe how bad my SA was when I got it over 120 mph. It was horrible. Is it really down to the tyres? Was the bike loaded with panniers or top box? These are known to create drama's, KTM acknowledge this and cover themselves with a speed limit when the b...

Re: Help w/ Coolant Problem?

In regards to coolant type I found this: http://www.bickers-online.co.uk/netalogue/filedownloads/Motorex%20KTM%20coolant%20recommendations.pdf I will be showing that to my dealer as they only stock M5 and told me it should be ok to mix. My gut feeling told me otherwise. I went with some extended li...

Re: DynoJet QS

Was the QS the cause of the problem? Sorry i just realized i said i had it for 10,000 km. I put it on at 10000km and only got about 2,000 km before my engine popped. From what we could tell it must have been the QS. I was riding to my cottage and the bike was running just fine. About 2 hours in i w...

There are still a few teething problems with this system. There's a big thread on advrider on this very subject, some have it working very well, others not so much.

Can anyone clarify if it is necessary to remove the oem O2 sensors from the headers when the PCV plugs are used? Some are saying they will be damaged very quickly if left in and not powered?

Has anybody done one of these re flashes Yet on there 1190? He says only the R model. But I imagine it would be the same as the S model. Same motor? What is involve to get the ECU out to mail it to WA Same motor, same ecu. I'm still not convinced at this stage of the mail option. It would be differ...

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

I have mixed feelings about the GT. I think it will be a great bike none the less. However, like the superduke, I'd get fed up with the traction control / anti wheely systems. If only they made it all adjustable on the fly like bmw. :( Totally agree mate, the electronics package needs to be updated...
