Re: Full Akrapovic on a GT

Anybody got an SDR rear peg to measure the distance between the mounting points to the frame ?

Just curious if they would fit the GT for some alternative options

Re: Full Akrapovic on a GT

Little tip, Fit the headers and tighten them up, Leave loose (no springs) the resonator and end can so you can mount it in the position where you want it, it is flexible as its then fixed with the tension springs You need that clearance between the can and the pannier bracket if your going to use them

Re: Full Akrapovic on a GT

Here you go if you can make it out
All its doing is moving the mounting point forward as the GT pegs are further back than the SDR

Re: Full Akrapovic on a GT

Panniers fit fine although i have fitted some self adhesive heat shield underneath the pannier as a precaution

Also had to make a bracket to fit the can to the peg

Running OFT tune (as soon as i get the file back from Shiv)

Re: Clutch Lever Assembly - What's right?

Looks to me (on your original photo) that you've used the PP levers pin and not the oem lever pin.....They are totally different and won't engage the clutch properly (OEM is thinner and longer)

Hope you've not gone down the clutch spring replacement for nothing :o

Re: build quality/fit & finish

Well if it helps, Im on my 3rd "Beast" through choice obviously Bike gets better and better every time i ride it and i won't be looking at anything in the near future to replace my new S.E No problems whatsoever for me apart from the front disc issue which was sorted by KTM with new Discs Go for it,...

Re: Full Akra DB killer removal

Re: AR/Akra blend

A "Àdd On" is a nice way of putting it. They have the lines wrong. It should follow the same angle of the frame. Like the AR does. A couple things I wonder about with the AR. Do U notice any heat on your arse. And I wonder if the fluid in rear brake reservoir can become hot? Not that I ride a lot in...

Re: AR/Akra blend

To be honest, i won't put the Akra system back on as i just love the look of this high slung  Got a different insert on the way from AR to drop the DB's down a tad and i'l just pick up some ear plugs That Bodis one is no where near this setup IMO :o and sits on the outside of the bike like it...
