Re: Clutch problem

Great with the Oberon slave cylinder!
Me as well replaced the original slave to an Oberon, 'some miles' ago - and at the same time I changed the mineral oil to Castrol Front Fork oil 5W.
The engine and the original master slave has been running for more than 57000 km.

Re: Parts needed - hopefully

Yes that's what I say as well.

I think the front brake master cylinder is still in good shape. Couldn't see any damage on it at all. No leaks and so on.

Thanks!

Re: Parts needed - hopefully

Update. 25 days after accident and 23 days after surgery. My body recovery is like... more or less unnoticeable improvements... :( Well, that not true - in fact the plastic from the right leg was cut of Tuesday 5th of June and the stiches cut away as well. Everything looked good. X-ray the same day ...

Re: Clutch problem

Hi 'Herb'!

Me as well recommend you to have a read through the thread that 'limeyduffa' put up the link to.
Read it and yu will learn a lot about the clutch oil jet, Oberon slave cylinder, type of oil to use in the system and more.

Re: Rusted/captive engine bolt nut

Hi 'Limey'!
So the engine is out from the frame. Did you do it by yourself or the workshop?
Difficult?
Take some photos from 'inside' if there is a chance! Very interested to see how it looks like :)

Parts needed - hopefully

Hi all at the forum. KTM SMt -10.jpg Sadly I had an accident with my beautiful SMt, which I have loved from the first moment I tried it. Sand/gravel on the road coused the accident, I fell from about 30-40 km/h at the right side into the asphalt. The bike slipped for approx. 4-5 meter, then stopped....

Ohhh nooo 'sabestian'! Don't you try with me...(!) :D
(I didn't write that sentence about carbon look!)

Mine is almost all in gloss black now - and is MUCH nicer than the boring and 'dirty' matt black.

Re: Back in Black

Welcome dude 8-)

Wow! Only 6300 km...(!)
Congratulations to a very good motorcycle :-)

It's very nice to paint the front fener in gloss black as well. Every part is nicer with gloss black, in my holy opinion.

Hi 'gordy'!

Nice that you are satisfyed with the Dyno remap!

Could you please tell what have been done to the engine, such as SAS, airfilter change, Lambda and so on?
And also, it would be good to hear about the fuel consumption after the mapping.

Re: KTM heated grips

Answering my own question: I connected wrong wires... I was in a physical stress mode and didn't think of what I actually was doing... So guys who are going to install heat grips - READ the instruction AND have a good look at the picture that shows how to connect everything!!! The heat grips works a...

Re: KTM heated grips

I know, more than 4 year old thread, but still up and running :) I'v bought KTM original heated grips. Tried to install them, but just like 'Creamcycle' all 4 lamps at the dash/control unit flashes at the same time. When pushing the orange button in for 3 seconds it stops flashing, but no heat is in...

#15 should have more opening on the second flies.

Thank's for answer Kev.
But I don't understand exactly what you meen; are you saying that the shafts (without second flies) are more open with map #15?
Is that always, through the whole rev range?

Re: K&N air filter

Hi there !! Nice to see that you are alive, and the bike too! :-) You know I used K&N airfilter when I tried the Dominator's, but just today I talked to a guy who strongly recommend NOT to use the K&N air filter! (I have sold my K&N by the way...) He has made some try out's about how much dirt that ...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi everyone As some of you have already read about, I decided during last spring/early summer to get back to standard/original stuff on my 990 SMt 2010 (Eur). (Did it for some reasons I just woun't tell in this posts. Just accept I didn't like the intake sound using K&N filter and snorkel removed, +...

Re: Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder (Magura)

Hi! To all you guys that want to use the original Magura unit for some further miles (if the unit is still working...) : replace the oil in the clutch system to Front fork oil 5w. Someone suggested that in another thread and I did the replacement. With 55 000 km on the ODO the original clutch master...

Engine only runs up to half throttle!

Hi all! Bought a Lithium-Ion battery the other day, but the power was too week, so I used jump start cables, from the old battery, and the engine started. Due to the fact I reinstalled original air filter, secondary flies and snorkel I did the 15 min reset imediatelly. (Original map was installed la...
