#15 should have more opening on the second flies.

Thank's for answer Kev.
But I don't understand exactly what you meen; are you saying that the shafts (without second flies) are more open with map #15?
Is that always, through the whole rev range?

Re: K&N air filter

Hi there !! Nice to see that you are alive, and the bike too! :-) You know I used K&N airfilter when I tried the Dominator's, but just today I talked to a guy who strongly recommend NOT to use the K&N air filter! (I have sold my K&N by the way...) He has made some try out's about how much dirt that ...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi everyone As some of you have already read about, I decided during last spring/early summer to get back to standard/original stuff on my 990 SMt 2010 (Eur). (Did it for some reasons I just woun't tell in this posts. Just accept I didn't like the intake sound using K&N filter and snorkel removed, +...

Re: Replacement Clutch Master Cylinder (Magura)

Hi! To all you guys that want to use the original Magura unit for some further miles (if the unit is still working...) : replace the oil in the clutch system to Front fork oil 5w. Someone suggested that in another thread and I did the replacement. With 55 000 km on the ODO the original clutch master...

I demounted the secondary flies and started the enging and it runs like a wolf! 8-) I had a great ride today, about 400 km in sun and...

Engine only runs up to half throttle!

Hi all! Bought a Lithium-Ion battery the other day, but the power was too week, so I used jump start cables, from the old battery, and the engine started. Due to the fact I reinstalled original air filter, secondary flies and snorkel I did the 15 min reset imediatelly. (Original map was installed la...

Re: Customled.com taillight

Hi guys! I just put my bike together again (after the anual 'winter-mechanic-work(out)'), and started the engine yesterday ;) But, one of the tail lights/lamp/bulb was down/black so I had to buy a new one today. Actually I bought 2 of them and replaced both - will have the old one as a spare during ...

Re: Issues with rear brake when refitting wheel

Hi 'Irn-Bru' I also have some minor problems sometimes when the brake pads are going to take place in the rear brake caliper. But no serious problem though. Is something missing? How about the 'retaining plates'? There is 2 of them, although I'm not 100 % sure they are exactly the same... Still in p...

Re: How do I replace oil, bushings and seals in front suspension?

The links above shows the fork legs disassemble of a WP 48 mm for Adventure, and I don't think it's the same front forks at the SMt.

Re: Tightening forks?

Hi 'bambadoo'! My 2010 SMt has 54600 km on the ODO. Never replaced the oil in the fork tubes, but I'm in the beginning of it right now. SO, if the oil hasn't been replaced for 60000 km I bet it's a good idea to do it. Also replace the slide bushings inside, and seals. For sure, there are options for...

How do I replace oil, bushings and seals in front suspension?

Hi all! 990 SMt 2010 with 54605 km. The winter is going to end soon in Sweden (I hope!) I need to change the fork oil, replace bushings and seals in the front suspension. Have done that many times in 'up side down' suspension legs on motocross bikes. Read in the Repair manual that I have to take out...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi 'roblund6'!

IF I'm right, there is no need to dismount the O2-sensors, BUT you have to disconnect the other end of the O2-cable and mount the dummy plugs.

Can't tell about if it's possible to 'cut off' the O2 via Tune Ecu...

Re: How do you remove the oil jet

Just want to share my (new) experience about the oil jet. Took it out the other day, and cleaned it using compressed air. No problem. But... I noticed that the hole in the oil jet was smaller than it used to be... strange. Why?... I asked myselft. Most likely I previously used a screwdriver to loose...

Hi 'eagle_awd'

That's a 'crump buster' unit, yes. I have one by myself and it is helpful sometimes.
But it's not a cruise control :-)
