Re: Finally found what I was looking for

Hi "Mich69"! and welcome to the party 8-) Do one really have to replace the complete air filter box? Someone tried this MWR air filter? http://www.racingairfilters.eu/?ids=kop3/sub8 MWR also provide "triangel air filters" instead of the side covers - might be worth a try(?) /M

Re: Rear brake issue

Are you sure the brake disc isn´t "warped"? Spin the wheel and just Slightly apply light force to the brake lever, and maybe you will notice the pads touching the disc. But on the other hand, sometimes the pads seems to touch the brake disc when I pushing my bike around at the parking lot,...

Re: SM - T " Torture"

"CatDaddysBBQ" Yes, I do experience the same as you do; on small winding roads the seat is quite comfortable, but on highways it really is a pain in (or at) the butt... When "moving around" the butt on the seat at small roads, the blood gets circulated, but at highways it is just...

Re: are there any benefits to decatting standard smt exhausts

Hi "drewsninja" Don´t do the same "mistake" I did. I bought a quite cheap pair of "unknown" silencers from "another European country". They look great and sounds VERY nice - but the back side of it is the sound/noise level! It was TOO MUCH for my ears and I ha...

Re: Stator Cover Oil leak

Strange. Lift off the tank and remove the air filter box to see if it´s oily inside. I don´t know why it should be oil inside there... but... just to exclude one "maybe" factor. I had some oil coming out from somewhere and replaced the shaft seal ring, but that was not the problem. The cop...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

What "smoothened map" are you talking about "Nordic09"? I have replaced the standard air filter with K&N, took of the "snorkle" (put a foam air filter piece to cover the hole), demounted the second flies. Nothing else at the moment. I will testride a qiute far dista...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi I use Windows 7 on a PC laptop (Lenovo ThinkPad). Tried again tonight to save the current map. It says that is already saved and ask if I want to replace it. I did so. It seams to be this one: 3. KM626EU1102001Map. That one is for SMT 2011 and Not 2010 as my bike is. It should be KM626EU1002001Ma...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

Hi Jhalfhide

I have the 2010 SMT

But it should be found visiting the tune ecu website. I think I remember I could download it from there.
If you read this before 7 PM Thursday 18:th of May (-17) I would be glad if you can send the map to me as a file.
I hope in a PM will work.

Thanks!

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

I´m back... not that happy today... :? Decided to remap the engine again, to the original map. I know I saved it to the computer when i remaped it with #20 map in beginning of April, but now when I tried to get original map back using TuneEcu program and ECU -> Download, the option is not available....

Re: Do you know DOMINATOR exhaust

Hi The round one is a little bit longer (40 cm) compared to HP1 (335 cm) and also heavier and cost €220, and the HP1 cost €406. And of course; the HP1 is MUCH more beautiful than the long round one... :) I bought the silencers, nothing else. No pipes/tubes/manifold. I have sent you a PM (personal me...

Re: Do you know DOMINATOR exhaust

Hi "Roobi931" Sorry, I just can´t recommend the Dominator´s silencers... It REALLY is too loud sound/noice level. I used an app to the mobile phone to measure sound levels, and it said 94 dB(A) at idle speed and more than 103 dB(A) at 4500 rpm. The dB-killers that is included, does Not mak...

Re: Seriously not impressed

I did some "snapshot´s" of the side stand on my 2010 SMT: IMG_2324.JPG The side stand unit and the bolts/nut. IMG_2323.JPG The rear nut is attached to a shaft/axle that goes from the engines right side, through the engine case and through the side stand and comes out on the left side. (Not...

Re: Seriously not impressed

"Cicsy" I´m sorry for you, and the incident. Really bad timing for the side stand to decide to come off... Most likely the previous owner didn´t tight the bolt(s) enough. (I think the rear bolt is attached into the engine case, just like the 2 in front.) I´v learnt 1 thing about side...

Re: How do you remove the oil jet

The weather situation you describe seams to be exactly as in Stockholm, Sweden (Europe) Off topic: You could try to replace/change the clutch fluid in the master cylinder to front fork oil SAE 3 or 5 W. I replaced the slave cylinder to an Oberon last summer and it works great. Only problem i...
