Re: Rear sprocket support bolt/nut torque ?

The thing is that even if you mount new cushers and "pin bolts"/screws, there will be a small play. If you have the center stand, put your moped on it and engage 1:st gear. Rotate the wheel front and back by hand just some millimeters and you will feel it, and most likely also hear it. I hate things...

Re: WP Upsidedown 4860 rebuild - pretension changed

Hi Limey First, I made the service for the WP forklegs by myself last spring, at 54600 km. It was totaly innessecary! The sealings and the inner bushings were like brand new. I'm not 100% sure what you are asking about, but I guess you needed to adjust the rebound or the compression by halv a turn?...

Re: Rear sprocket support bolt/nut torque ?

Hi limey I know for sure that there is thread locking agent on those threads... I had to use a BIG spanner and use it as a "prolonger arm" to make the bolt/screw come loose... Honestly, I thought I would brake the tools. It has been the same on all 3 hubs I have demounted the screws from. I know abs...

Wheels with tires! For Sale (Sweden)

Hi all! I have front and rear wheels with tires for sale! Not many miles on them. Meant to be used at trackdays. Being used 1 (one) day at a trackday. Unfortunatelly I had a on road crash (with the standard wheels), and I still can't ride due to my injuries... So I decided to sell the "track w...

Re: Clutch suddenly stopped engaging

Hi "bigred" That sounds odd. The rattling noise is normal when neutral position and engine at idle, and should disappear when engaging the clutch lever. About the bike wount roll when engine off, gear in and pulled clutch lever isn't unsual if you ask about my opinion. The bike can be pushed - but i...

Re: TuneEcu experts needed - bike will not learn idle

Hi "sdnative"

Thank's for the "life story". I'm sure someone will be able to help you out with this strange problem.

If no good answers from this forum will come, I suggest you to try to get the bike back to stock. Everything stock. See if the problem is still there.

Re: Front Caliper rebuild

Hi "Doerbird02" I did the same thing last spring. I recommende you to split the caliper halves. Try to find info how to do the rebuild, it will save you some good riding time in the end. It's M8 thread for the screws, so I believe I tightened them to 2 - 2,5 kg (20-25 Nm). The brake pads: Original I...

Re: Mask/spoiler/side covers fit all years?

Hi "bigred"! How nice that you entered the racetrack at Phillip Island :-) I can imagine the SMt was a pleasant experience there 8-) About the mask, spoiler and side covers. I believe the easiest way to find out is to take a look at a dealers parts fishe. Don't know how you do that in 'down under', ...

Re: Air Filter Replacement

Limey

Are you talking to me, as 'MD'?

I never replaced the oem airbox, just replaced the filter to K&N.
Yes I quickly put a new original filter back in.

Re: Air Filter Replacement

Hi 'CatDaddysBBQ' I don't recommend to use a high flow filter like K&N. It DOES let particel through. I have tried it and also other I've read about, examined the hard way that the air filter let bigger particels through. It's better to do the remap after mounting K&N air filter, but not nescessary....

Re: Parts needed - hopefully

Hi guys! It's great that the forum is 'on the road' again. For some reasons I couldn't reach it tha last 2(?) months... I'm slowly on my way back to a 'normal life'. Unfortunatelly my shoulder didn't heal as expected and therefor it needed a small surgery at 28/1 to clean up some things inside there...

Re: 2010 990 SMR Clutch fluid

Hi 'Doms01'

I'm not 100% sure about the capacity in the clutch system, but would be surprised if it's more than 100 ml. I would buy 200 ml, just in case :-)
