Re: spoked wheels for a 1290 SAS

Easy was is go get a set of an 1290 SA/T or 1190 A assuming you want to keep the 19-17.

Re: Dynojet auto tune

Auto tune only provides (suggests if you like) setting which you have to save to your map which is overwritten at that time. So you would pick the closest map and autotune will provide a new table that will change the map and optimise it. If you don't save the suggested changes then the bike will ke...

Take it outside to be sure but this issue has been posted about several times. Not sure if there is a solution/software fix yet but have a wee search to see the other posts.

Re: PCV O2 dongles with Rotti/Full Akra Evo

You need to use the dongles if you are fitting a pcv. If you don't the bikes ecu will try and alter the fueling that the pcv is trying to control when it reads the o2 sensors. The dongles stops this happening since the sensors are disconnected. If you think the akra map is enough then don't use the ...

US your good to go warranty wise.

There are tools for the older bikes but not for the 1xxx bikes unless something has happened very recently.

Re: New to KTM - service question

There are no diagnostic tools for the SA outside of a KTM dealer. For the warranty it depends where in the world you are.

Re: Mistakenly plugged the Crankcase vent...damage?

The only thing you could damage are oil seals. If you have fixed the breather and the oil leaks have stopped you should be ok.

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Clutch drag - who has it?

Um, no it's not. Yes it is lol. So if you go for a ride to warm everything up, then turn the engine off and restart it, does it still "clunk" from neutral into first? The op is talking about cold so yes but apart from that yes even hot bikes they still clunk going into first a bit if they have a we...

Re: Clutch drag - who has it?

Cold (thick) oil on a wet clutch of course it is going to drag. That's what the clunk is going from neutral to 1st as well.

You a BMW owner per chance since these are common problems on the GS range. A broken exhaust servo isn't going to leave you stranded, ever.

Re: 1290 R transmission smooth or..?

You will always get a clunk to some degree going into 1st on any wet clutch bike. The rest of the shifts on these boxes should be a pretty smooth experience if everything is adjusted to you.

No idea where you are as it isn't in your profile but on European bikes it fits under the seat.

Replace the bulb with a big power resistor of a similar value. It will get quite hot so keep it where it will get some air.

Re: Bulb replacement

I have the cyclops kit in my 1290 SA. Plug and play easy enough install apart from the fact getting into the back of the light is a PITA on the SA. That goes for any bulb change on that bike though. It works really well too. I haven't bothered with any other lights as the cyclops puts out enough lig...
