Let me know if I can measure my dongle somehow to help you out.

I'm electronics antitalent, but can measure basic things...I think :)

Re: Drop in oil pressure during high speed running.

That really blows Elvis. Hopefully you hear back from KTM. Have to add it to check list once I open her up this winter... Problem found! The clip of the oil pump sprocket went out and the sprocket is now stuck between the case and clutch basket I found it out by inserting endoscope from the o...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

#14 & #15 are for the non-modified bikes, optimized and smoothed maps. #13 if you removed the secondaries.

Start there and see how bike reacts. Always save your stock map to backup first. :)

Re: Side stand sensor failure

Can't really tell what's inside. I got it as preventive, because these sensors do go bad and did not wanna be left stranded on the side of the road, especially on the longer trips. And bypass was cheaper then new sensor :D Got used to checking even three times before I leave, to make sure stand is u...

Re: Splitting the cases !

Darn, it does suck being without bike for so long. Well I have sprung the leak at the same cylinder base gasket :( , front one. So I will be going trough same exercise coming winter. Hopefully leak doesn't get much worst by then. And keeping eye on this thread to see if you come up against any surpr...

Re: Would you change an SMT for a 1090 Adventure

Two steps up would be 1290 ;) :D If going Adventure direction and not DukeGT, I would recommend 1290S. It's more road oriented and they're really, really nicely equipped. Huge LCD for dash.

Re: Exhaust packing

You're right, I think it's there to protect the packing from blowing out too fast. I read that acrapovic has similar set-up, so will keep it on. Tried to clean it out with some air, but no use so I got some medium thickness stainless wool and wrapped it around. This material is bitch to work with, n...

Exhaust packing

After 30k on the cans, they have gotten too loud (if there's such a thing) and it's time to re-pack. These cans have a steel wool that's around the perforated core. Looks like it's spot welded to the tube in few spots and it would be difficult to wound a new layer and pack it all back in. Should I g...

Last winter I replaced all mine turn signals with LED's from http://dynamicmotorrad.com/ Couldn't be more happier, crazy bright. And still looking for decent replacement for tail light, whether it's just the LED bulbs or whole unit. Was thinking of these https://www.kmx24.de/artikel.php?id=62464 , b...

Re: GPR FURORE NERO

You won't really need heat shields anymore. Cans won't get as hot as to burn you, if that is your concern.

Exhaust fumes coming out on the other hand will melt your shit :)
