Re: Phone storage, KTM my ride

So I splurged and popped $11 for the App. Bought a Yideng headset on Amazon for $65. Paired my phone and headset to my 19 GT and I now have Navigation and tunes. Will try the phone function once I get the bike on the road in another month or so when it stops raining. Went for a ride today. Took a p...

Re: Cheap Slip On

I had a 2016 GT that I had a installed a decat, intake and power commander. I removed them before I traded it in on a 19 GT. I have not installed on the 19 but did remove the stock DB killer on the stock can. Not as dramatic as the decat but has a nice little rumble and was cheap.

Is it correct that spotify doesn't play through the app?
Can't say I have tried. No problem playing from play list on my phone. Keep in mind you are pairing your phone and your headset o the bike with KTM my ride tieing it together. Not sure how well other apps will interact

Phone storage, KTM my ride

Just traded in my 2016 GT for the 2019 GT. What is with the dedicated phone storage compartment size. Great idea but It is tiny. Has anyone been able to store their phone in there and if so what phone?
Also has anyone got experience with the KTM my ride app? Reviews?

Re: Plugging in

My heated vest is 6 amps. I guess if you were decked out with pants, vest and gloves it could be more than 10.
Was just looking for ideas on what people had installed for sockets for their gear and where.
GaryCulb I like your installed socket. What brand?

Plugging in

When you are powering something like a heated vest on the GT where are you plugging into. Power outlet under clocks, having the cord dangle over tank or a added power outlet under seat, or?

Re: '16 vs '17 GT

I received the first new 2016 GT in North America. It was the display bike at the GT North America release in Whistler B.C. Still have it with about 14,000 KM. Never have had any issues and love it.

Re: Exhaust Servo

Disconnecting the battery for a bit should remove the faults as long as they are no longer present.

Did you get the fuel pump recall done as well Russ?

I'm taking my 2017 KTM Super Duke GT in this Friday, May 18th for a Brembo brake recall and, I believe, a fuel pump replacement, which has also been recalled.
Spunky's did mine last week. 30 minutes in and out :D

Re: GT missing from KTM site

Interesting I now see the 2018 1290 GT back up on the KTM Canada and U.S. websites. I did chat with my dealer on KTM not offering the 2018 GT in North America. He did say that it was a premium bike that sold as good or better than its competition. He thought they did it to flush out the remaining 20...

Re: Bag gaskets

My original 2016 bags did not have a gasket. I had them replaced under warranty and the new ones came with gaskets. There are several different generations with updated part numbers with the latest having a smooth shiny KTM badge compared to the brushed finish one.

Bag gaskets

Does anyone else has the same issue I have with the factory bags? You open them and the gaskets get pulled out, having me to poke them back into place. Could glue them. Any other ideas?

Rear brake switch

Took my GT out of hibernation. Hooked up the battery and turned on bike. Set time and date. Noticed rear brake light on. Turned bike off. Turned bike on, rear brake light still on. Alert came up, "Rear brak switch".
Anyone know where the switch is located? Anyone have this issue?
