Re: Where is this Oil Leak Coming From?

Thanks to the info in this thread, just replaced the rubber behind the gear position sensor and fixed my own own leak. I wonder how long it had been leaking slowly and just burning up on the exhaust before I eventually noticed it. Maybe the bike will stop using so much oil now :-) Sent from my iPhon...

Re: Finally found what I was looking for

Welcome to the forum Mich69. I am also riding a KTM SMT around the Amsterdam region. The only problem with the bike is that there are not enough good twisty roads nearby to ride it on!! If you know any routes better than the dykes between Durgerdam -> Marken -> Monnickendam -> Hoorn -> Enkhuizen, th...

Re: KTM Scottoiler

This is what they say: We recommend dispensing oil onto the face of the rear sprocket, so that the oil is thrown outwards by centrifugal force and has to pass all over the chain surfaces before it can be lost. Capillary action (oil being drawn over surfaces) will allow the oil to feed to both sides ...

I added the KTM scottoiler to my SMT today. Followed the scottoiler recommendation in terms of position and routing the tubing ... https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170729/da5107ec1bf2a99a2bb8fadc61a6034a.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170729/fd9e6836c86634a245ca0d23aaa9e0b2.jpg https://upl...

Oil Tank

I have had numerous problems with my the Oil Tank on my 2012 SMT over the years. Broken Bolts, stripped threads, etc ... not sure if others have had the same troubles. Anyway 2 questions: 1. Anyone know where I could get hold of a replacement oil tank, new or secondhand? 2. Would it be possible to r...

Re: Dunlop Roadsmart 3

4500 km update in the RS3s. My alpine trip took me through Austria, Slovenia, Italian Dolomites with some of Germanys best B Roads and Autobahn for the return trip. All sorts of roads, surfaces and some unplanned gravel roads and countless hairpins. Mainly dry weather, one hail stone shower(ouch). A...

Re: Dunlop Roadsmart 3

750 km update on the Roadsmart 3s, all dry weather riding on the dykes of North Holland. I love the the RS3s so far. Running them at 38/34 PSI. They feel great on the bike, plenty of grip. The best feature in my opinion is the significantly quicker turn-in in comparison to the PR3s. It gives me so m...

Re: Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Thanks for the info I was actually looking at the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 but that was crazy expensive so I changed to my second choice when placing the order with the garage which was the DR3. They are supposed to be a big improvement on the DR2. MCN, Motorrad and other online forums gave them very...

Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Ordered a set of DR3 for my upcoming alpine roadtrip. Have had 2 sets of PR3 and wanted to try something different.

Anyone got any experience with the DR3 on their SMT? What tire pressures do you use? I ran the PR3 with 36/33 psi.

Re: Tuneecu - Read Map MenuItem Disabled

Maybe it is because I had the engine running. Will try again with just ignition on. I was able to connect and view diagnostics so I know the software and drivers are working.

Tuneecu - Read Map MenuItem Disabled

Hello, Tried using Tuneecu for the first time at the weekend. I could connect and diagnostics were working, updating values, tachometer, etc ... However, the option to 'Read Map' in from my bikes ECU was disabled(greyed out). Therefore, I was not able to make any changes. Has anyone experienced this...

Found the acc1 and acc2 thread. Will check the manual, looks much handier than going back to the battery ... Just whip the headlight off and have a poke around :-)
