Re: Dunlop Roadsmart 3

750 km update on the Roadsmart 3s, all dry weather riding on the dykes of North Holland. I love the the RS3s so far. Running them at 38/34 PSI. They feel great on the bike, plenty of grip. The best feature in my opinion is the significantly quicker turn-in in comparison to the PR3s. It gives me so m...

Re: Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Thanks for the info I was actually looking at the new Metzeler Roadtec 01 but that was crazy expensive so I changed to my second choice when placing the order with the garage which was the DR3. They are supposed to be a big improvement on the DR2. MCN, Motorrad and other online forums gave them very...

Dunlop Roadsmart 3

Ordered a set of DR3 for my upcoming alpine roadtrip. Have had 2 sets of PR3 and wanted to try something different.

Anyone got any experience with the DR3 on their SMT? What tire pressures do you use? I ran the PR3 with 36/33 psi.

Re: Tuneecu - Read Map MenuItem Disabled

Maybe it is because I had the engine running. Will try again with just ignition on. I was able to connect and view diagnostics so I know the software and drivers are working.

I got the ergo seat with mine when I bought it second hand. Have never had an issue. Really very comfortable including long european touring days ...

Tuneecu - Read Map MenuItem Disabled

Hello, Tried using Tuneecu for the first time at the weekend. I could connect and diagnostics were working, updating values, tachometer, etc ... However, the option to 'Read Map' in from my bikes ECU was disabled(greyed out). Therefore, I was not able to make any changes. Has anyone experienced this...

I just put on my first set of pr3s. First impressions, they feel fantastic. Lots of good reviews here and else where online too.

Re: TomTom Rider - Best Mounting Position

Found the acc1 and acc2 thread. Will check the manual, looks much handier than going back to the battery ... Just whip the headlight off and have a poke around :-)

Re: TomTom Rider - Best Mounting Position

It does look good there. I have a tall touring screen though which is probably a bit vibier than your screen. Nice exhaust by the way :-)

TomTom Rider - Best Mounting Position

I recently invested in a TomTom rider 400. I have it mounted using the ram mount provided on the left side of the handlebars so that the screen is right beside the left mirror stem. It was the best spot I could find after lots of fiddling about. Has anyone found a better solution on their SMT? I'm n...

Re: Oil tank threads damaged

So, I found a workshop and they are working on the tank. I also found a broken bolt(right side hanger) when removing the tank so they can drill that out too. The guy there actually recommended using petrol to clean out the tank and then letting in dry for a few days before putting oil in. What do pe...

Oil tank threads damaged

I've owned my 2012 SMT for over 1 year now. I am determined to do my own maintenance this year and learn more about the bike. But, I've just learned a very, very important lesson. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the specified torque. Long story short, I have f*cked up the threads on the Oil Tank drain...
