Re: Recall KTM Australia — All 2013 to 2016 KTM 1190 Adventure, 1190 Adventure R and 1290 Super Adventure Motorcycles

All they did was add 1 cable tie.
Most owners did this themselves, or at they did here is Australia.
I can upload pics of whats required if needed.

Re: 1290 with Wings Slip-on

I run my 1190R with the Wings and no Db killer because its simply runs better. :)
No issues for me, works fine.
I have friends with SA's and do the same, no issues.
No such instructions have been issued by the Au distributor.

Re: 1190 Adv Speedo correction

Sorry to hear that Kev. There never seems to be a shortage of dickheads out there which are more than happy to just rip people off. Inevitable I guess, very sad, people with no scruples. Many of us could have done the same (copied your idea), but we didn't because it's not cool, it was your idea and...

Re: 1190 Adv Speedo correction

Got out for a run and the ABS rings work great. With a new front tyre the speedo is between 1-2% up. As the tyre wears it will get even more accurate. The odometer is 3.3% under actual so not too bad. Fuel consumption figures are much more realistic and accurate too which helps in the remote areas I...

Re: 1190 Adv Speedo correction

Hi Kev Couple of questions.... Im led to believe that the speedo error is introduced in the software but the odometer is actually correct? My gps odometer has always been within a couple percent of the bikes but the speedo has been out by 10 percent? Does that mean if the speedo is now correct, the ...

Re: Airbox issue

Personally, Im not a fan of the Powersell system for two reasons. (Three if you include cost) I prefer to stop the dirt entering the airbox at all which the complete unifilter setup does well. The second issue is that the stacks have been modified to such an extreme amount that it will affect tuning...

Re: Airbox issue

For me, riding as much dirt as I do, I dont have to remove the tank except for major work when using the prefilters. I do anyway though but only due to my OCD :) The filter sock/pre-filter can be changed out of the snorkel quickly every few thousand k's if needed. While main filter and box is still ...

Re: Airbox issue

If you want piece of mind, just use the Unifilter complete kit. They only cost $70 for the lot. You might loose a couple horsepower but I think its worth it in the long run. I do mostly dirt and gravel roads and its the only way to go. I use the snorkel pre filters as well, they are easy to change o...

Re: Sat Nav mount

So far, this is the only above dash mount Ive found that works, is rigid and does not vibrate. Its the SW Motech mount. Ive used it with a lot of offroad and its the only one that works. Its also quick detachable. Simple effective and works as all the others should. Im using it with my 660. 1st pic ...
