Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

Well chaps. At least the suspension isn't trying to throw me under a wagon. And I can set it to what I want, not what the Herbert's at Ktm think I want!
Anyroads, enjoy your bikes boys, I'm off 8-)

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

Swapped it for this. For me it's 100% better than the GT. I should never have bought that bike, irrespective of the shit suspension it was the wrong bike.

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

After almost 3 weeks a chap from Ktm got back to me. This is after me telling them my dealer couldn't/wouldn't offer any help with the suspension and that I thought the bike was dangerous. Pretty simple reply just saying as it's all electrically controlled nothing can really be done. I told him my 5...

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

I thought long and hard. Thought about getting my Smt back and just accepting the hit, but I don't want a used bike again, even my own. Waiting to see if Ktm bring a Supermoto 1290 out. About getting some none lectrickered suspension fot GT. Getting the GT sorted, but the love has gone. The love for...

Correct, collect it on Wednesday. A slightly bigger, posher Smt. Never had a Ducati for so wish me Bon voyage :D

In fact, if I had a ride on one not knowing any different I'd swear it was a new Smt.

Re: New Superduke GT owner experiences.

Eye. The Smt is like Joseph Holt bitter. Everywhere you go in the world you compare everything to it, once you've experienced it nothing else will do. I've found something I imidiately gelled with, it's like a slightly bigger Smt but newer and posher. I've had it on all my favourite local roads and ...

There are connections, permanent and switched live under the clocks. Three screws?

It's an insanely powerful bike Kev. I was out with the new MT10 a Duc 1190? an Sdr a v2 Tuono and only the s1000r Bmw could match the GT for roll on throttle blast. 3rd gear goes from 30-100+ in a flash.

This is true. Just wire in a permanent on socket and nail it somewhere handy

I think I had 4 Falco's. Like the Smt, massively underrated. Did this to one.

Re: Rock hard forks.

I had a v2 Tuono, crashed it and bought a v4 with the money. At first I thought it was amazing, but I got bored with it. It did everything too well, too fast and had no character imho. Swapped it for another v2 Tuono. I was having loads of grief with my shoulders so looked about and bought the Smt. ...

Re: ATIR (Automatic Turn Indicator Reset)

All this auto bollox is messing with self taught lifetime preservation skills. I'd rather trust meself to turn me winkers on and off than some gadget that don't seem to work half the time. The system on me near 40 year old xs650 was better than this GT's!

Re: Rock hard forks.

Had a go on the mt10 thing. Didn't like it at all.. Seemed cheaply made and I had to rev the tits off it to get it going. I've had twins for 20 years though, I can't compute anything else now.

Re: Sag settings

Just done 450+ miles hooning with the boys in that Wales on some of the finest roads in the world. 1st gear foot out tight to 100+mph sweepers. The suspension on this bike is shite. Everything else is excellent.
