Re: New chain/rear sprocket pitch query.....

Thanks for the replies lads, sorry for delay in getting back to them.
I'll go with a 525 pitch chain, and I think I'll stick with standard 17 tooth at the front for now.
Cheers.

New chain/rear sprocket pitch query.....

Hi, Ive got part number 611100510104 (41 tooth rear sprocket) but not sure of the pitch of this, which I need to order a new chain to go with it. Anyone know the answer to this? 520 or 525? Also, should I go 16 or 17 tooth on the front? And can someone recommend me a front sprocket and chain to matc...

epicmonkey wrote:Should be easy to tighten up your mirror. Push the rubber sleeve back from the top and you'll see 3 screws. Tighten them up just enough so you can still adjust your mirror without it flopping around and it'll be good for ages.
Ah I know, I just dont like them and fancy a change anyway!

Re: Is there a future for SMT?

It is just as upright with taller bars on and lower footpegs. I've done it. It is nowhere near as comfy as the Smt though. I've got a good blast on Sunday coming up and if I'm in as much pain as the last couple of times I've got a decision to make! I cant believe how comfy the smt is, honest to God...

Replacement mirrors....

Anyone got any suggestions? Drove to Kerry from Dublin and back recently (300km, a lot of motorway) and my right hand mirror is very loose and needs adjusting at speed. I've never liked the mirrors, they are very cheap and dont add to the bike at all. Some Rizomas would be nice, but theyre expensive...

Re: Is there a future for SMT?

As someone who suffers with aches and pains in the neck area, the smt is a far better tourer for me simply because of the more upright riding position. The sdgt doesnt have as comfortable or as upright a position.

Re: Is there a future for SMT?

Dunno how many times I have to repeat this, but its not a replacement at all, because the GT isn't a supermoto bike in any way shape or form. Just because Ktm might say its a replacement, doesn't make it so. Supermoto = light, low tech (imho), forward sitting, motocross style riding position, upward...

Re: Valve clearance check

@AndyW - guy who services mine, not an official dealer, but highly, highly recommended, told me hes never seen it needed doing at any service interval! So I skipped the 15k one, not in the slightest bit concerned.

Where to connect the stock Garmin ram mount?

Ive just got a zumo 590lm and wondering where to hook it up.
The ubolt doesn't fit round the handlebars in the centre, only up near the switchgear. And the supplied bolts seem the wrong length given the nuts supplied, it ends up being very loose.
Any tips greatly appreciated.

Ktm aux lights....

Decided to fit mine tonight. Not to difficult, but I'm no mechanic so a couple of questions. The mask spoiler and inner mask spoiler - does the mounting bracket place over these or under them? Where do the bushings go? The original screws sit into a kind of countersunk washer, I cant see how that ca...
