Re: Almost but not quite there yet

Congrats Mick - I only have 3, 000 miles on mine so far but getting ready to take a two week trip to Colorado and maybe even further West . I've been riding 47 years (yeah I'm old) and had many bikes but really do love this one
I'll probably have it a long time

Re: What did you do to your ktm today?

Installed lowered pegs (Knights Design) and bar back/risers (SW Motech) so rode about 20 miles and think will be more comfortable for long stretches / trips

Re: fuel pump or fuel filter fail

Hi Tanc - as I said earlier the filters looked spotless ( I disassembled the fuel pump so I could clean them) I went ahead and cleaned them with carb cleaner and put her all back together , put in the same race fuel I had put in earlier and damn if she doesn't run perfect !! So it looks like it was ...

Re: fuel pump or fuel filter fail

Well heck - so I removed fuel pump and both filters (sack looking filter and normal looking filter) were spotless/clean so apparently that's not the problem

So what to check now ?

Re: fuel pump or fuel filter fail

I'm wondering if this could be problem with mine So several weeks ago returned from 1400 mile trip - bike ran great / flawless. Parked it, washed it a couple days later, dried it good with compressor and then start it up and let run till at temp killed it and parked it. Got her out this morning and ...

Re: some experience about OIL on GT

Ok Dave Thanks for reply - I changed my oil/filter and cleaned screens (first service - did it myself) at 600 miles and put in Motorex 10w60 full synth Went on 1, 400 mile trip and she seemed to use some oil. So I just went on a little 60 mile sprint and drained oil while good at hot and am putting ...

Re: So far

The KTM satnav bracket is at the perfect angle to reflect light off of the screen, making it damned hard to read. It mirrors the angle of the dash, but I need to take it off and increase the angle of the bend on it, to make it more practical. The angle is adjustable -I'm using Zumo 390 and can read...

Re: some experience about OIL on GT

Instead of starting a new thread I thought this one would be appropriate for my question

So owners manual says put bike on level surface - however is oil level in sight glass to be checked on sidestand or holding bike up level ?

Re: So far

KTM sat nav bracket. Its part of the touring pack in the UK; Panniers Sat nav bracket Heated seats The bracket is the neatest way to mount the Garmin IMO. Tried it out with the Zumo for the first time last weekend, in exactly the right place. Yes I ordered and mounted mine too and it is a nice piece

Re: What did you do to your ktm today?

Rode my SD GT 150 miles yesterday and then did 1st service (600 miles) so changed oil & filter and adjusted chain and today put 290 miles on her and then gave her a good washing/waxing
Now deciding where to go on an extended trip in next week or so
Think I'm gonna love this bike
