Re: Loose rear sprocket nut

How many miles does your bike have?

Mine's hit 15,000, so possibly due a replacement anyway. Fingers crossed it's that and easily fixed! Don't want to be tightening bolts ever time I ride...!

Re: Loose rear sprocket nut

Ah yea - potentially. I'll leave it with the workshop to check and replace if necessary... Cheers!

Loose rear sprocket nut

I discovered a very alarming problem the other day - the bolts holding on my rear sprocket had come loose! They'd even come loose so far as to begin grinding down the inside of the swinging arm... The wheel wasn't obviously out of balance and there was no play in the sprocket, even when the nuts wer...

Re: Skidmarx Hugger install

My skidmarx hugger has now completely failed and duly binned. The mount on the left side failed first and in spite of attempts to fix it, it's still buggered.

Damn.

Rectifier fitted - problem solved. Light is still a bit dim though, but then again it has been since day 1 of ownership...

Re: Soft32/Dat101

New stock rectifier sourced - now to fit it... Any tips for fitting it? Looks like a simple, albeit fiddly, bolt in job.

Re: Soft32/Dat101

My bike has started playing up... A few months back I replaced the battery as the bike wouldn't start. The bike now starts fine, but the last day or two the dash cuts out when I rev the throttle and the low bulb's dim (works fine on high beam though). Once I've ridden for a couple of minutes though,...

Re: Exhaust bolts...

WD40 didn't do the trick.

A blowtorch didn't do the trick either.

Instead the bolt heads turned and sheared off. Only 1 out of the 6 came out as it should have...

Re: WINGS EXHAUST

Yea, I had to remove the fairings and heatshields in order to loosen the exhaust hangers, but the luggage rack remained in place. The exhausts are way cooler than the stock ones, so I've been quite happily running them without the heatshields. I've not bothered about the SAS removal, but did get the...

Instrument cluster issue

I went to turn my bike on the other day and all was well, but then it started repeating the initial 'turn on' process over and over (rev needle back and forth, bike length etc. etc.), even though the engine was now running and I was trundling down the road. In addition, after work one day I went to ...

Phew - fitted mine yesterday. Absolute nightmare fitting the exhaust hangers, but otherwise great!

Exhaust bolts...

My Wings exhausts arrived today. So I rushed home from work and set about fitting them... All was going well until I reached the exhaust bolts - those 3 bolts that are seemingly welded on to the bike. Any tips for making them budge?! I may have to head to the local garage for an impact drill at this...

DNA Stage 3 - Mk1, 2 or 3?

My Wings exhaust is on its way to me and my remap is booked in at BSD. So, which airbox should I go for? From my reading I understand that the DNA Stage 3 is the best one to go for, but is the Mk3 worth the extra money over the Mk1?

Thanks
