Re: Brembo recall includes KTM???

Recall is now official in the UK. I don't know what models are affected, but I do know that mine is on the recall list. 2016 SDR 1290. I just put my details into the website, and it told me that there is a recall and I must contact my dealer. I called them and they confirmed my recall is for brakes,...

If your bike is new, and you are referring to the white plug, under the rear seat - that is not a charging plug - it is for the KTM alarm seat switch - which can be purchased from KTM

Fry - two questions please.
What "buttons" are at the end of your bar ends - flat or round?
What are you using to block the standard mirror hole?

Re: Carbon part reviews

I have a Black 2016 SDR, and bought all my carbon from HF Carbon. I went for gloss. The owner lived in the USA for 15 or so years, so obviously speaks english very well. He might even be able to put you in touch with somebody in the USA. I bought the following; 1) Headlight wings 2) Front fender (co...

Fuel tank dampening removal?

So - being riding with my Rotti for 3800 miles now, and about to remove tank, so that I can remove bits off the Rotti kit that are no longer needed (snorkel bracket) and also, remove the snorkels. My question to all - should I "peel off"/ remove the dampening under the fuel tank, to ease air flow? I...

Re: Yellow headlight cover?

Anyone know where I can find one of these yellow headlight covers. I have a smoked one. Ut thinking of selling and getting clear or yellow. On eBay #262565918893, they sell all colours. You say you have a smoked one on at the moment - I have a clear one, but I'm keen to put on a smoked one. Does th...

Kev's ABS rings

I will be fitting them this winter, but need some tips on "coating" them.
Who has powder coated their set and who has painted their set, and is there any best finish?
(Did read one set was touching?)

Re: Kev's 1290 modification list

Went for a ride on my 1290 today around & about first time in 5 weeks & stopped & looked down & my left leg was full of coolant. Got home to find my radiator is leaking between the cores in multiple areas from behind the Rad Guard, I removed the Rad Guard to find no signs of any impact, rubbing or ...

Re: Quick Shifter

By using this forum, I learnt that the best QS for my 2016 1290SDR was the Dynojet QS connected to a PCV. I bought PCV #18-018, Power Commander Ignition Module #6-124 and Power Commander/Dynojet QS #4-114. They all work fantastically together - no issues at all. MAKE SURE YOU CUT FUEL AND IGNITION ...

Re: Mild panic after install of PCV-any suggestions?

I had a 2010 RC8 before I bought my 2016 SDR, and I had a similar thing when fitting a PCV on the RC8. I was there with the chap trying to dyno the bike and had no reaction from rear cylinder. Disconnected PCV and bike ran perfectly - ended up binning the PCV (was 2nd hand) and doing TuneECU. But wi...

Anti Sieze Grease?

Need some advice here......
Had my standard exhaust ceramic coated black, adding a bodis link-pipe (ceramic coated black), and a black remus end can. Fitting new gaskets at the head.
Do I put this all on "dry", or do a put a very thin layer of anti-sieze grease on all the joins?
Thoughts........ :?

Decals/stickers?

Been busy meddling with my new 2016 Black Superduke R, and actually replaced most std panels with carbon ones. The only "problem" is that, there are now no stickers/decals on the bike - which looks a bit bare. I'm not into advertising - so don't have any signage on the accessories/bling bits. But - ...
