Re: Leaky radiator

You rode the bike home DRY with the cooling system empty, just monitoring the oil temp? Couldn't have been that long of a ride or else I'm sure something would've let go, most likely a head gasket.

Re: Exhaust valve dongle

With respect to GaryCulb, allow me to make a correction to an earlier post of his just for the record. The first batch of ESEs for the SDGT didn't work correctly. In discussing this Gary references the ESE as ESE.KT2. A reasonable assumption however HealTech did not change the part number when they ...

Re: Exhaust valve dongle

+1 on the HealTech exhaust servo eliminator. My '17 model SDGT was throwing MTC Failures quite randomly and really spoiling the riding experience. Thanks to this (and other forums) everything pointed to it being the exhaust servo motor. Why the exhaust servo motor not operating EXACTLY as the MCU ex...

Re: C-light Failure XC-2 Mapping

Found and sorted the problem with my cornering lights not working. Met KTM SDGT owner Henry in a riding group here in Sydney. He very kindly let me play swaps with his cornering light components. My right hand light was the fault. After managing to get it apart with minimal damage the fault was imme...

Re: C-light Failure XC-2 Mapping

Hi Again, I just asked this poster for more info. He suffered the same error after a software update to v3.34 and that's the version that shows on my cluster. Might be worth visiting the dealer again to see if they can go back to an earlier version. I'm not confident though. http://www.ktmsmt.com/vi...

Re: Re flash don’t do it C-light Failure

Hi Dewayne, It's a couple of years since your post but I'm having a similar problem with my 2017 1290 SDGT. Dealer updated the software on my bike and I now have C-light Failure. Do you know if the software numbers you quoted are for the Cornering Light Control Unit (the one on the left hand side of...

Re: C-light Failure XC-2 Mapping

Hi Aussie Dave, Yes, the cornering light connectors are plugged in. That's why I mentioned the indicators are working fine, it's just one connector (unlike the Super Adventure S that has separate connectors for the indicators and the cornering lights). I've also checked and double checked the Corner...

C-light Failure XC-2 Mapping

Hi guys, I have a 2017 1290 Super Duke GT. Bought it about 3 months ago and don't think the cornering lights ever worked. Recently had it in the dealer for a couple of minor recalls. They hooked it up to KTMs XC-2 Diagnostic Tool and found five outstanding updates so they went ahead and updated the ...

Hi from Sydney, Australia

Hi, My names Terry and I live in St Ives, a suburb of Sydney. Although a long time Triumph fan (still have a 955 Daytona and a 1050 Speed Triple) I've always fancied a big KTM v-twin. Picked up a 1290 Super Duke GT a couple of months ago. I knew it had been down the road but unfortunately what I tho...
