Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

and the problem is?
rpm can go up to 2100 depending on external temp.
When hot it should be stable around 1440.

Is that the case?

Raising forks through clamp

Until now I have tried the default settings -forks flush with triple clamp- and forks protruding 5mm. However, I always asked my mechanic to do it as I didn’t have the tools. I recently bought a torque wrench and now I want to try some different settings, 8mm and 10mm. Can someone direct me with the...

Re: Talking about calipers...

Do you have abs on your smt? If so, I don’t think you can change calipers as abs is set up for the default ones.

Re: Rottweiller fitting myself?

It is easy to do it by yourself if you have a step by step guide. I was using this site http://www.ladowntownnews.com/app/SMR/index_4.htm but now seems removed. Regarding the map, dealer has probably installed acrapovic map which is richer than Normal at should be ok to use your bike. Standard map w...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

You can use map #20 and try as it is or add max +1% from 2000 to 10000. Best mod for low down revs and on-off response is the throttle tube mod referred in this forum combined with other mods and good map. Custom map is of course always better

Nope. Maps work for all versions as there are no engine changes through years

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps

No, it's a different tuned engine. The same goes to adventure. You should better find a map that fits from here. Alternative, custom map is always better.

SMT handlebars replacement

I wouldn't use a bicycle bar on a motorcycle. I had protaper on my mountain bike and it was much much lighter than a motorcycle bar.
