Re: No low fuel indicator light- Ran out of gas!

When you run out, fuel light or not, lean the bike over on its left side. You'll get the remainder of fuel from the rt side of the tank - good for a few more miles.

Re: Fuel cap increasingly difficult to remove/insert, 2011.

1- remove fuel cap and disconnect vent line.
2- trim the "lip" using a razor knife or dremel tool
3- re-install.

Re: Another Pelican rear case

I chose the Pelican for their rugged construction and unbeatable waterproofing. I said no to the Pelican storm because for the additional dollars, you get push button latches and the holes for padlocks are not shielded by metal, and they are much smaller. you won't regret the Peli.. and there is an...

Re: Rusting at 800 miles?!

How close are you to the ocean? Ocean air may be the culprit. I used to live in Central Florida, US.. it was bad there- even 100miles from the coast.

Re: Pirelli Angel

Hey guys,

What kind of mileage are you getting out of your ANGEL? I've got about 5000miles on the rear and it's looking pretty thin. I'm a little disappointed - had hopes for 6500miles :?

pipe glowing red could imply a fuel/air issue. have you recently made changes to your intake, fuel management? exhaust?

Re: Valve clearance

Dealer did all services on my KTM. After 1k service, they put motorex top speed 15w-50, which is NOT fully synthetic oil (this I found out just yesterday). I did have them change the oil at 3.5k again, so this is third oil in it with 5.000km at clock, and both times they put same 15w-50, instead of...

Re: Another Pelican rear case

I just finished moving the oem pannier hardware onto a couple of old pelican 1500 lookalikes a buddy had lying around. It took a while to get the locking pin mount at the correct compound angle but it worked out great! These boxes are 22.6 litre and weigh about 4kg ea(twice the oem 13 l pannier). I...

There is also a 2012 SMT at KTM World outside Atlanta, Ga. That's where I bought mine. no freight or set up fees.
