Correct me if I'm wrong but blown bulbs are also a sign of a faulty rectifier? Obviously not the case if it's just an isolated incident but if it happens again then it could well be. I had several blown bulbs in the past (990SM) and a new rectifier solved this.
Good luck.

Re: Draw through circuits
These bikes are pretty fickle when it comes to batteries and I recently had similar issues with a [then] 16 month old battery. All the usual checking and fiddling, followed by giving up and 'jump starting' from one of those new fangled power bank things. IN the end I gave up and replaced the battery...

Not expensive to replace - they do go with time and it's worth replacing as soon as possible.

Try page 1 of this thread, were the maps and full descriptions are listed ... have a look what's similar and give a map a go for a few rides - the case of downloading / use mean that you can try a few before settling on the one you find to be best.17,19, 20 might work but they're designed for the RC...

Normally there is a sure in there - when fitting the Scottoiler, the screw is removed and replaced by that spigot ... you'll have to fit a rubber cap over it or replace with a screw, which I think is Product Number: 61036023100

Yes indeed - perfectly normal. And they certainly get a bit whiffy, especially if you store the bike in a garage ...

Re: 990 Power Commander 5 & Tune ECU custom maps
Hong Kong's 'standard' petrol is 98 RON, so would that mean adding 1-2% to the F Trim? Anybody had experience with this and can comment on the differences between 1% and 2%.
Thanks very much!

Doesn't look too good - I'd suggest simply changing to an Oberon, especially as you're halfway through the job, simply by removing that rusty thing !

Re: New with old manufacturing date tires
I'd suggest NOT OKAY - the rubber in the tires dries out over time. This can lead to cracking, greater stress on the tyre’s infrastructure and “catastrophic failure.”

Re: f1 light on start up
Seen it do this when the battery is low ... usually after a period of inactivity and it takes a few turns to get going.
Which doesn't mean that something else is wrong with mine but it goes away after a couple of normal runs.

Re: oberon clutch slave problems
I think you'll find - based on my own experiences and from other postings here - that the bike is hard to move when in gear and the clutch is pulled in. "That's the way they are, Sir!", apparently! I have the Oberon slave installed too - I tend to feel a bit of a jump forward when engaging gear and ...

Re: Aaaaargh Dead Bike
Yep, the original battery is a Yuasa ... once it's shagged, it's shagged! It will appear fully charged if charged using an Optimate but it won't start the bike. It won't even start if jumped from a car battery. This happened to me recently and a new battery cured it.

Re: Renthal drive sprocket part number?
Sorry - can't help with the part number. HOWEVER, just sharing what I was told when I bought a rear Renthal [gold] sprocket and DID chain ... the guy at the parts centre recommended sticking with the OEM sprocket because it was damped (those rubber bits that make it ugly!) and that a considerable nu...
