Battery: Positive Cable. Negative Cable. And....

...and another connector with two smaller green wires? This goes to the Negative battery connection correct? I'm doubting myself as I stare at it. And what is it part of? Just for curiosity's sake. I don't have a wiring schematic or I'd look. This is on an SMR by the way. There is nothing in the man...

Re: 3k rpm without throttle. HELP!

Short answer/opinion: Do not ride the bike. Have your dealer come pick it up and find the problem. It's not safe. I'd hate to hear that you were hurt, and the bike damaged because of an accident caused by this. ----- Questions: Is the bike stock? If not, what modifications have you done? If it's sto...

Re: Parasitic draw

Perfecto. Thanks all. I'll do just that. Sure beats pounding a wooden stake through it's middle.

While certainly not a huge problem, it sure makes one grumble when your ready to ride, hit the starter, and get...CHUG...feh.

Parasitic draw

My SMR just loves to drain its battery dry if it sits too long (3 weeks = no cranking power). The stock battery was toast, so now I have a little closed cell jobby, and even it's succumb to my vampire of a bike. Even on a tender (Battery Tender), it still drains it faster than the little wall plug c...

Re: Yoyodyne Slipper Clutch

I've used their products (Yoyodyne) on my past Duc, and have absolutely nothing negative to say about their products. If your a bit of a dork like me, and care about such thing, Yoyodynes parts have a fit/finish/feel-in-the-hand that speaks to quality and attention to detail. I cant imagine anyone b...

Re: suspension upgrades

I found this site (one of many) helpful. Maybe you will too.

Just remember, a little information can be dangerous. =) So as my pop says, "If it's not broken, don't fix it."

Leo Vince (8414) photos only

Sometimes people just want photos to help with their purchasing decisions...so here are some details of Leo Vince 8414 cans. I left off the carbon covers for these shots, just to show the entire thing for fit and finish, as well as a couple closeups of welds, joints, etc. FYI: I realized after these...

Re: Light steering! Damper required?

Short answer/thought: If you have the money, it certainly isn't going to hurt. And insurance is always nice? Right? If your not so well financed, then try examining your riding style, and adjust your suspension (a little more pre-load in the back?) Long-winded answer/though/opinion: As much as I LOV...

Re: suspension upgrades

Short answer/thought: Save your money mate. Long answer/thought Unless your experiencing something pretty dramatic as far as handling quirks are concerned, or as the above poster mentioned…your way out of the average weight range of the stock setup…the stock suspension is great, and fully adjustable...
