Re: What have you added to your gt today?

You know my 2017 didn't come with a canister, Dave?

I think it depends on whether the particular bike you get was destined for the EU or American market.

Yep, that was me Dave. Getting a new rear hoop in preparation for a trip into western NSW after Easter. I was down the other end drinking shitty coffee! I like the atmosphere there too but might have to check out Extractions one Saturday...

I'm gonna head down to the Wynnum Esplanade for some fish'n'chips and a short shakedown run of the new tailtidy in about an hour, Dave. Will keep an eye out for you ;)

Re: Snapjack SS prop stand for lubing chain/finding punctures

I like that unit Dave. Saves the muck-around of stop-start rolling the bike forward that normally accompanies chain maintenance out on the road, or if you're a Neville-No-Mates and have nobody to rock the bike over on its sidestand while you apply the chain lube. Compact enough for under the seat, o...

Finished fitting the catalog tail tidy this morning (bad light and mozzies ended last nights session). https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190303/8ca0e964c9a1496b2db5b618f5d3edcb.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190303/085746148c900e2cfd190108cb1a1f69.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201903...

Re: Flashing E Realy Means One Gallon Left!!

This was in late December, coming home from a Sydney jaunt. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190302/cc2f71b8493da7d34e8e6b70d8622bd1.jpg Had filled up in Gloucester the previous afternoon, did some spirited riding over the range to Walcha then stayed overnight in Uralla. Thought, "Yeah, I can stre...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I have the comfort seat and love it - the heating was superb on the Oxley in August. It also has (for me) just the right balance between comfort and firmness, and a variety of viable seating positions for long trips. If we catch up at Springwood one day Dave you are more than welcome to give it a ch...

I figure you're *so* desperate for any bike action, Dave, that I can post this shitty, shitty video from my first attempt at using the Contour on the GT.

I know, I know. Stardom awaits.

Re: KTM Top Case

Dealer (same one as Aussie Dave's) comes through again. Can't get bolt set separately; they're going to order another carrier plate assembly kit and pinch bolts from it - no charge. Can't speak highly enough of Springwood Suzuki. My first KTM but third new bike from them over the years. There's a re...

Re: KTM Top Case

I had the 48L top box fitted last month, like bigman, and have been happy with it. It does sit a long way back but haven't noticed any pronounced ill effects on handling (and you don't look at the mantle when stoking the fireplace etc. etc.). It dealt with camping kit for a long weekend away (and $1...

Long-time lurker, first-time poster

https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181018/5f2a27b8b406b9f55894b7c7c7a7a62f.jpg Hello all. Got my GT in late July but have been browsing this board since about May. Easy to see there is lots of info already here, and I hope I can also make some entertaining (if not necessarily useful) contributions....
