Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

I got really hot and humid so I didn't put it on as I was enjoying the wind blast. I also wanted to make sure I really needed it before I took it out of the box in case I wanted to return it. Well, it was like 60 degrees this morning and I was freezing on the highway in my summer mesh jacket, so I t...

Re: Seven warranty claims, and counting

I literally humped my GT today in the parking lot. THis bike just does something to you. Even to normal people  I had the master cylinder replaced the day before I picked up the bike, and have since had the fuel pump replaced, which took only an hour, and that weird dampening error from the loo...

Re: Fork seal gone

I think the GT has very stiff fork seals, as they all seem to leave a smear for a few 1000Kms or miles, i didn't see anything to worry about in your fork photo, if they start to puddle at the base of the fork then id worry. mine took at least 5-6000 Kms before being dry. This is very true Dave. Tha...

Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

I look forward to your review. I’m the original OP of this thread. I’ve been in the middle of a number of other projects....just had Sargent make me a seat which I hope to do a report on soon, just got in a new set of wheels for my car (long story), lots of new tires for my motorcycles for a variet...

Re: Flashing E Realy Means One Gallon Left!!

I got 95 miles on a tank on my Tuono. I didn't need a gauge. An hour and a half tops and I was done.

Re: Flashing E Realy Means One Gallon Left!!

I sort of made that assumption today when it started flashing and the miles to empty said 30. I cut that in half as my experience has been on all my vehicles that the trip computer can't be trusted. After about 10 miles of riding it still said 30 and I pulled into the first gas station I could find...

Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

Vstreams seem to be out of stock for a while now. Could it be they're not making a screen for the GT anymore? that was pretty much the only screen I felt didn't kill the looks of the bike.

Re: Fork seal gone

Ive only had the DES fault come up once, it was after a 220Km ride over fast windy and bumpy roads while being chased by 2 1290Rs, it occurred when we stopped for gas next to our accommodation, i parked it up for the night and in the morning it was gone, and never returned since. Interesting I was ...

Wiped it off and didn't see anymore but havne't had a chance to ride the bike since do to the never ending rain. Not sure if having that bit of ooze...

Re: GT missing from KTM site

Interesting. I was told no models were coming to the US in 2018 as well. The 2018 is up on the website but there's spy photos of a redesigned one as well. I'm going to guess we won't see a unit in the states for over a year. I think there are still '17s they have to get rid of.

I will probably get rid of the canister. I've read up on a couple of options. Any suggestions.
Good lord JJ, what do we buy all the same bikes?!! Am I to get a K1600 next?!?!?
I'm partial to the nelson rig tail bag myself.

New guy from NY

Hi all, I've been on the other KTM forum for a bit and found this forum and decided to give a shout out. Picked up my GT on Saturday and put about 100 miles on it so far. Was a little wet this morning but tires had 65 miles on them from the weekend (scrubbed enough) so I decided to ride in to work t...
