Re: Akro slip on and heated seat

Nice! I have the same seat. It was still not as comfortable as I like so I had the stock seat reworked by Sargent. But I'm keeping the comfort seat for cold days because it has by far the best heating of any bike I've had with a heated seat. It's the only one that actually gets hot enough that I hav...

Some nice updates. Now let’s see if it comes to the U.S. They never brought in any 2018s.

Re: Dyno map on gt with decat

Yep any small crest in the road on hard acceleration in 5th the front hovers off the ground😎 Ahhh, that I get. I have road where my Panigale will do that at 140. It’s kind of cool when it does it, but at 140 I would prefer not to push my luck so I feather the throttle back now when I get to it. Tha...

Okay, you have the breathing tube story beat... by a lot. What some people will do to one-up the other guys on the forum. I suppose you can power wheelie in sixth gear too!

Seriously, my hat is off to you. You've been through a hell of a lot.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Great news jjsc6... :) I'm pleased to hear that somebody is healing according to plan! I'm now feeling great..... the house painters are here today and I have been racing up and down stairs preparing for them with no ill effects. I'll try asking my local GP tomorrow, but I expect he will defer to t...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Dave, sorry to hear of your delay riding again and your friend. I’m almost afraid to say that my recovery has gone exceptionally well. I’m just over six weeks and I started driving my car a few days ago, the doc said six weeks. Amazingly, he also said six weeks for the motorcycle, but even I don’t a...

Thanks Mick. The good news for me is that in Houston I will start riding again when the good weather gets here. Our normal high right now is still 92F with about 80% humidity

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Hi JJ, Good to hear you are on track for the recovery I thought I'd have..... Also, good thinking to delay bike riding for longer than car driving as the breast bones will only be partly healed/bonded by 3 months....... and you wouldn't want to test them with a prang or a slip/slide on the bi...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I had my follow up with the surgeon today. He said I can drive at six weeks. So I finally got the courage to ask him how soon I can ride. His answer....six weeks! And I’m almost two weeks into it already. I actually plan to start riding a little more gradually. And I want to be sure I’m off pains me...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Thanks Dave. We are on the same page. The Doctors and hospital did tell me the do’s and dont’s and sent me home with a package telling me all that. Trust me when I tell you I don’t want to overdo it. Fortunately I think I’m old enough to actually take advice. :D Thanks for your heartfelt advice. You...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Quick update, and I’d like to hear an update from Dave also. I’m now ten days since surgery and have been home a week tomorrow (Tuesday). I’m getting around well and feel like the recovery is going very well. My pain is fairly minor. The biggest issue is simply sitting in a chair most of the day wat...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Day two. All went well. Everyone says I’m really doing well with recovery. Not fun but not as bad as I expected either. BTW, was quintuple. Great surgeon and nurses.
