Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Twhnks guys. They say I’m doing very well. My worst part is the twisting motion tu get back in bed. It doesn’t really hurt, it just scares me!

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Day two. All went well. Everyone says I’m really doing well with recovery. Not fun but not as bad as I expected either. BTW, was quintuple. Great surgeon and nurses.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Thanks Rock. Two days and counting. I’m going to the hospital this morning for pre registration. They call it pre-op, but it’s really about making sure I can pay and sign waivers

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Best wishes on a great outcome jjscx6..... ;) It is amazing how well you will feel within a few days of the big op....... they usually show patients the door after only 5 days recovery......... naturally you will be pretty banged up for 6-8 weeks, but the soreness goes away quickly, although you'll...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I will not get hooked. I'm pretty fanatical about not over using drugs that can be addictive. But thank you for the reminder. We do have social security retirement benefits that we pay into during our working career. It is meant to be something you can live on but that's all. No matter how much we c...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Thanks Dave. I'm going into it with a good attitude, but knowing I'll have a few weeks that won't be a lot of fun. I have a bit of a bonus coming to. I'm retiring at the end of the year. I should be riding again by then.

Unfortunately they could not put in stents. Too much blockage. I'll be going in late next week for bypass.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Thanks to both Daves for your thoughts. I should be able to update the forum in a week. In the meantime it's business as usual. I rode the SD 250 miles today in spite of near 100 degree weather, and I plan to do 150 on the Ducati tomorrow morning.

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

First of all, the politics does not bother me. I hate Trump with a passion to the point my wife says he is probably responsible for what I’m goint to tell you next. Getting this thread back on topic, I had a nuclear stress test this week. The outcome is I will probably be going in next Friday for a ...

Re: KTM Top Case

I will probably get rid of the canister. I've read up on a couple of options. Any suggestions. Good lord JJ, what do we buy all the same bikes?!! Am I to get a K1600 next?!?!? I'm partial to the nelson rig tail bag myself. so is the S1000R gone? Not sure why I’m just seeing this post. Yes, th...

Re: Where is the horn?

I will keep you posted. I'm not in a big hurry on this project. I'm going to order both the horn and a set of Denali LED driving lights at the same time, but am balancing some other expenses right now. I hope to do it in the next month or two at the most.

Re: Where is the horn?

If you look further back In the posts there is a write up about fitting horn on the side of the motor As horn dosen't "beep beep" when hot against the radiator 🍻Davew I saw those threads. I’m hesitant to bolt the horn to the engine for a variety of reasons. I actually looked at the threaded boss wh...

Re: Where is the horn?

Well, I found it. Blocked by the fuel tank equalizer line. Now to figure out where to mount the Denali Mini. Looks like a tight fit where the stock horn is, and I want it more out in the open. I’ll figure something out, but I’m open to any suggestions.

Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

I contacted the company & they sent replacement hardware that fit. The shield set at it's lowest position gives you a bit more protection than the stock shield at highest position .The quality of the shield is quite good. I wonder why the even use the standoff spacers to mount at this is the compan...

Re: Denali d4 driving lights on a GT

I look forward to the results. I did some studying yesterday on the Denali D2s. I’ll probably get them and use the Fender Mount bolts. I already have power I can use coming from the battery through a relay and wired as I explained under the tank up to the front.
