Re: MTC and engine light

SuperDave has knowledge of an issue that I don't, so I don't want to imply he is not right. But I have had error messages that seem to be related to a weak battery. I put a new battery on it about a month ago. So far it seems to have eliminated one issue I had, but it may be premature to declare tot...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I’m jealous of you new 2019. I really like the upgrades they made. Dave, good to hear you are doing more riding. Can you do the math for me...what is your heat and humidity in terms I can understand? (Yeah, I should not be so lazy and look it up). In Houston our normal temperature for four months i...

Just to confirm, I’m still checking the forum daily. I’m cureently in the middle of a ten day trip to the Smoky Mountains on my FJR. Having a great time. Giving the SD GT and Ducati a break. My friend is also on an FJR. He also has a SDR and a H2-SX.

Re: Dash blanked out after stall and restart

Be sure the battery is fully charged. That caused me several error messages. I finally replaced the battery a few weeks and and so far several problems I was having seemed to have cleared up. My bike is just over a year old, but the bike was a year old leftover. I suspect that’s the reason I had a s...

When he said he had heart surgery too, you should have said “yeah, they obviously removed it”.

Re: Paired devices forgotten at each start

There are so few 2019s out there that you will get very little feedback. But I look forward to learning about the new features such as this from folks like you who do have a 2019. You might try posting on the Adventure forum (I assume there is one) where there may be more folks with the feature. Kee...

Re: Back seat stuck down?

It might be a good time to study how we would get the seat off if the problem arises. There has to be a way.....right?

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I'm going off topic in my last two posts, but I found that the battery is not my problem. Once I know more I'll start a new thread. I did some homework on the internet yesterday after putting in a new battery. My guess now is that the starter "torque limiter" may be the root cause. The dealer is bac...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

I’m convinced it’s the battery. Canbus systems do not like batteries that are even a little bit down. I had the same sort of issues on my S1000R when it was just under two years old. Logic said it was not the battery. But after a couple of months of random odd behavior...cranking a few seconds then ...

Re: Breaking News...... Unidentified SDGT spotted at Manly Qld

 :D There, I've gorne and dunnit...... ;) Not much to brag about, but I suited up and went for two laps of the bay foreshore - about 20kms and 30 mins or so. I intended to stop and shout myself breakfast at Manly but so did everyone else in the area, so I went home after taking a pic to mark t...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Replying to a post a few up. I’m almost embarrassed to post how I’m doing after reading Dave and Rocks progress. I’m the guy that everything went well. My surgery was just over seven months ago. I started riding after ten weeks. And I’m talking 150 miles, then 350 mile rides at about 12 weeks. I ret...

Re: What have you added to your gt today?

Here are the small compartments on the 19 model and the one on the left is where you can charge your phone and the foam protects the screen and holds it firm. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190318/e63a17f7e04bfd67b2b150caec24064a.jpg Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Thanks.
