Re: KTM Top Case

I will probably get rid of the canister. I've read up on a couple of options. Any suggestions. Good lord JJ, what do we buy all the same bikes?!! Am I to get a K1600 next?!?!? I'm partial to the nelson rig tail bag myself. so is the S1000R gone? Not sure why I’m just seeing this post. Yes, th...

Re: Where is the horn?

I will keep you posted. I'm not in a big hurry on this project. I'm going to order both the horn and a set of Denali LED driving lights at the same time, but am balancing some other expenses right now. I hope to do it in the next month or two at the most.

Re: Where is the horn?

If you look further back In the posts there is a write up about fitting horn on the side of the motor As horn dosen't "beep beep" when hot against the radiator 🍻Davew I saw those threads. I’m hesitant to bolt the horn to the engine for a variety of reasons. I actually looked at the threaded boss wh...

Re: Where is the horn?

Well, I found it. Blocked by the fuel tank equalizer line. Now to figure out where to mount the Denali Mini. Looks like a tight fit where the stock horn is, and I want it more out in the open. I’ll figure something out, but I’m open to any suggestions.

Where is the horn?

I looked around the bike this morning and have not found the horn. I want to replace it with the Denali Mini.

Thanks

Re: Anyone try National Cycle V-Steam wind screen.

I contacted the company & they sent replacement hardware that fit. The shield set at it's lowest position gives you a bit more protection than the stock shield at highest position .The quality of the shield is quite good. I wonder why the even use the standoff spacers to mount at this is the compan...

Re: Denali d4 driving lights on a GT

I look forward to the results. I did some studying yesterday on the Denali D2s. I’ll probably get them and use the Fender Mount bolts. I already have power I can use coming from the battery through a relay and wired as I explained under the tank up to the front.

Re: pdm 60 location

I have not put one on my SD, but have put one on my BMW 1600. It’s a great product. I would just make room under the rear seat. Like you, I also would like to get rid of the canister. Just have not gotten around to it yet.

Re: Denali d4 driving lights on a GT

I recommend not taking the tank off. I was able to run wires under the side panels by taking them off. I had to have work done at the dealer that involved them taking the tank off. When I took the bike in they thought it was gong to be a simple 30 minute job and did not know the tank would have to c...

Re: Well That Was a Surprise...

Sorry to hear about the complications Dave. High cholesterol and blood pressure run in my family and at 65 years old I see my Cardiologist on a regular basis. In fact I have a stress test scheduled in July. I’m hopeful all my meds will keep me from going through what you are, but I know it’s a very ...

Re: Flashing E Realy Means One Gallon Left!!

I sort of made that assumption today when it started flashing and the miles to empty said 30. I cut that in half as my experience has been on all my vehicles that the trip computer can't be trusted. After about 10 miles of riding it still said 30 and I pulled into the first gas station I could find...

Re: MTC Failure Disaster

The real riders still ride all summer in Houston, but I admit I know many who don't. I do 350 mile Saturday rides all year around, and every Sunday I get up early and do 150 miles and am home by 10:00 usually. Jim, I would definitely not put you in the category of MOST riders. In fact, you belong t...

Good to see you as always Joe. Good luck on the free service. I’m skeptical!

I’m glad you finally have a bike that will keep up. You’ve always been a great rider, but now you have the bike!
