Re: Any Other Forums?

Welcome ST. As you can see in my sig, I have a GT and an 1199 Panigale along with an FJR1300. I have 28,000 miles on the'17 GT that I bought new just over two years ago. My only problem was a stater problem. It always started, but often made a "screeching" noise and would momentarily lock up. It has...

Re: Quick shifter not working

Thanks for that information. Yes, I did have the 2019 updates performed. I'll be due for a service in the next month or two and hopefully they can fix it by reactivating it.

Yes, the world is a mess right now!

Re: Quick shifter not working

I know it might require they run diagnostics on it. Technically, they should not have to turn it back on. It shows up in my settings and I turned it back on, and it shows as on.

Thanks for the reply.

Quick shifter not working

Does anyone know what would cause the quick shifter to quit working? I have had mine turned off for probably a year and a half. I never liked the way it worked. The other day I decided to turn it back on and use it just for grins, but it is not working at all. I thought there might be a switch activ...

Re: New member from Devon, UK

Just to be clear about the U.S. denouncing climate change. It's really only one person. Yes, I get that he is the boss right now. But we do have term limits. If we could just get a short lived recession to start in late summer, it could be just one term. I had my fingers crossed for impeachment, bu...

Thanks for the recognition Dave. Yes, that made the tank installl much easier.

Good work on the new exhaust! Sorry about your weather. You get now what Houston gets the other half of the year. It's winter here if course. Great weather for riding here now.

Re: 2017 Fueling

I'm very surprised you did not find that out about the bike. Before I bought mine I read many posts saying that you basically can't put it in sixth gear below about 70 mph. Yes, it's real and the only fix is to lower the gearing. I see no need to do that, I just keep in in the right gear to stay abo...

Re: New Member

Welcome! I'm the member who is not Dave :D I also had my bike updated at the 18,000 mile service. The suspension update is not night and day, but it is noticeable. It also updates the bikes fueling. I'm not sure I notice it or not. Might be a little better at low rpms. But we quickly learn to avoid ...

Re: Ergo Heated Seat question

Mine did have to be activated by the dealer. It's a quick and simple process. My dealer did not charge me to do it. But I did just buy the bike and the seat from them. I don't think there was any code needed. They simply activate the setting when they hook their computer to the bike.

Re: New Wheel Removal Tool - 60/40mm Combined for 1290 HDESA Brand

Cheers JJ, I thought the same and just had to buy it....... . But it will be a handy item.... I'm hoping the 40mm side does the drive sprocket nut..... there are no hex nuts on the front axle of an SDGT...... if so then I have a tool to swap from 16t to 17t if I want..... I'm just over 18k km...
