I have a 2017. I just noticed you have a 2016. I am guessing they are the same.

I just noticed you have a 2016 - mine is a 2017. I'm guessing they are probably the same.

Re: Is fitting carbon ignition cover simple!!

Just grip the cover from the from and gently pull it up. There are no bolts. Once you take off the original it will be obvious. Its just a pressure fit with two prongs that are inserted into the tank cover. The ignition module is attached to the underside of the cover by a couple of screws.

Re: Is fitting carbon ignition cover simple!!

Very simple. The old one pops off the new pops on. The only screws are for the ignition module which has to be screwed to the CF one. Takes about 10 minutes.

Re: Suspension Noise?

Problem solved. It was the left side snorkel that connects to the air box. It was loose and contacting the tank fairing. I think it got loosened when the tech was installing the heated grips.

Suspension Noise?

Hi Guys, I have a 2017 SDR. When the bike is cold I hear a knocking sound when going over bumps. I think it's got to be the suspension. It goes away after a few miles. It sounds like knocking against plastic, but I can't isolate it. It sounds like it's coming from the tank area, Strangely, my 2015 m...

Re: Heated Grips 2017

Are sure you have the grips installed. They appear on the menu and if you turn them on while the grips aren't installed you would get a fault.
