Help, I need to remove my sub frame

Can anyone help, I need to remove my subframe, the rear part on my SDR 2017 frame . I've taken out all the bolts and screws I can see, 2 screws at the rear tail section and four bolts from the side and removed the rear foot pegs but still the frame is tight solid locked in. I'm wary of forcing it of...

Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Hi HDKAWKTM, I managed to track down a weighted bar end accessory made by Rizoma for the exact purpose that I require. I hasten to add Rizoma were of little help. I ended up phoning a company somewhere in middle England, which as it turns out were really helpful. I ordered the part and it's on it wa...

Re: Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Hi HDKAWKTM, thanks for the information and the picture, wish I'd bought the same set of mirrors you have, they look great. And they flip inwards, which I dare say is really handy. When you milled down the original bar ends, did this not expose the bare metal, did you have to respray them. It's a go...

Rizoma bar ends and Rizoma reverse retro mirrors

Hi all, has anyone fitted Rizoma bar ends M534 to their 1290 Super Duke R 2017 model. I'm having a lot of difficulty tightening the screw into the bar end, the rubber expansion piece doesn't seem to be expanding when tightening. Also when I took off the original bar end its attached to a long brass ...

Re: Austin Racing GP1R can problem.

Hey Fry, it worked m8!, took it out for a 3 hour blast, totally wrung it's neck, went up past Loch Lomond turned back at Tyndrum. A great road, not great weather. The beast is back! Really happy. Buy yourself a pint (of beer) from me or whatever they call it in the US. Now I'm thinking I could do aw...

Re: Austin Racing GP1R can problem.

Yeah thanks for that, a friend of mine said try starting the bike, don't touch the throttle, which is really important he said, let it idle for 15 mins, apparently the sensors need to learn and adjust to the new air, fuel mixture etc. Both ideas make sense to me. I'll try one then the other, see if ...

Austin Racing GP1R can problem.

Hi all, I fitted an Austin Racing GP1R slip on can to my 1290 Super Duke R 2017 model. Looks great, sounds great but I think I'm losing power in the mid range. The revs seem to falter when accelerating in the mid range and the exhaust note sounds odd. The cat is still intact, it is only an end can s...

SC Project slip on

Has anyone got an SC Project slip on exhaust with cat fitted to their 2017 model and does this pipe need to be connected to the rear foot pegs? It's a toss up between that and Austin Racing or Pipe Werx slip on, no rear foot peg connection necessary on these, which I really like. It's all about the ...

Re: Spy Shots

There's a promo video for the 790 on YouTube but you've probably seen that. Never seen or heard anything on the sdr 2018 model. Sorry that's all I've got. On a happier note, just bought a new sdr 2017, black. Awesome bike.

1290 sdr 2017 throttle servo whining noise

Just got a 1290 sdr 2017, black. Less than two hundred miles on the clock. I love this bike! Niggle, when I turn the ignition on the throttle servo whines. When I move the throttle the whining tune changes. I've read this is normal, however, it does my head in, especially if you are just flicking th...
