Re: Heat Shield

I purchased all of the Rottweiller 'drugs' and installed them over the past winter. I used a Remus Linkage Pipe and an ESE dongle and not their header. Rottweiller also supplied a ready made map for the Power Commander and Ignition Module and I added their air filter. I also changed the rear sprocke...

Re: Exhaust valve dongle

AndyW, I own a 2017 KTM Super Duke GT and spent this past winter doing extensive modifications to my bike so I may be able to answer some of your specific questions. First, I used a lot of Rottweiler's parts and a Remus link pipe https://www.remus.eu/catalog/product/view/id/10463/s/racing-connecting...

Re: Hello from Vancouver, BC

There you go! three of us on the island! Probably more Ferrari's and Lambo's on the island than our GT's and I may encounter one of those every other year or so despite the fact that one of my neighbours down the street owns both!

Re: New member - GPS and lights question

GPS mount is worth the money as it simplifies installation. Of course, if you had access to a CNC machine, you could build your own out of aluminum. I replaced the halogen headlight for a Cyclops LED headlight. Seemed simple enough but it was very time consuming. Dismantling the headlight from the h...

Re: Hello from Vancouver, BC

Welcome to the forum. Obviously I own a GT and I live in Nanaimo. The forum is a good site to gain inside information on these bikes; however, not all of your questions can be answered here so if you want some information regarding upgrades or retrofits, feel free to ask me. A lot of the work I did ...

Re: Brembo recall

I'm taking my 2017 KTM Super Duke GT in this Friday, May 18th for a Brembo brake recall and, I believe, a fuel pump replacement, which has also been recalled.

Re: Exhaust valve dongle

I ordered an exhaust servo eliminator from Healtech through my local retailer (Bayside Performance), installed it and it also threw fault codes; MTC, TC, Engine light and limited my rpm to 6000. My bike also 'died' a few times on a 107 km ride and then sprung back to life before leaving me stranded ...

Re: taller windscreen

I also went with a tall Puig windscreen for two months last year. The aerodynamics were much improved over the stock windscreen. However, when I removed it, I noticed that the screen had 'starred' (cracked) all around the mounting holes. So goes the way of acrylic screens. This year I have installed...

Re: Hard Suspension

One of the reasons why you may be finding the GT suspension harder as opposed to your 1190 is the wheelbase on the GT is shorter which will make a huge difference in handling and suspension. After all, the GT really is a sportbike with panniers.

Re: Clearwater Darla’s on 2017 KTM SDGT

Hi Gary,

Not certain why you decided not to mount a pair of Erica's on your SW-Motech Crash Bars. Do you think the crash bars aren't sturdy enough for the lights or?

Cheers, Bryan

Re: Has anyone installed a Lithium battery on their GT ?

I have a Shorai Lithium battery in my 1974 Norton Commando and it works great. Extremely low maintenance, no need to keep it on a battery tender during long periods of storage, etc. and it is very light. My 2017 KTM SDGT is quite new so no real pressing need to replace the OEM at present but when I ...

Re: 40 T rear sprocket

I've ordered a 40T rear and a 16T front sprockets for my GT after looking at the Gear Commander website and trying to determine how best to utilize 6th gear on North American roads without going 90+ mph. I see that a lot of you guys have opted for the 40T rear only and not changed the front. To my t...

The Place to Buy Sprockets and Chains for the GT

I've seen a lot of queries from guys on this site wanting to know where to get sprockets (and chains) from in terms of changing the gear ratio. I've spent quite a lot of time looking and the place that I've had the best luck with is SuperSprox https://www.supersproxusa.com/ where you can find alumin...

Re: MTC Failure What Do You Think?

Hey Flingit! If your dealer does indeed have a dongle to replace the servo, please post the part number, manufacturer, etc. (as much information as you can) on this site as I have looked for a dongle and have been advised that none exist. The only 'fix' is a metal cam that fits inside the servo such...

Re: Exhaust Servo

I own a 2017 KTM Super Duke GT. To date, there is no one that has a dongle to replace the servo motor. I have looked extensively and have not found a manufacturer to date. Dave at Rottweiler advised me that a lot of performance parts aren't being made for the GT because there isn't a demand and, in ...
